True, the company i worked for a while back made apps for the appstore. The approval process is ridiculous and very strict. Anything that isn't to their standards is removed instantly. And their standards are crazy.

By the way, Apple announced they invented multitasking. Well, everyone else already had it on their gadgets but Apple said their way of multitasking is better then the competition (i call it multitasking 2.0 ). The new generation iphones will have this new feature. How not unexpected that its just to late for the first gen Ipads .

I read today that APPLE cencored the ipod STORE in a crazy ridicolous way -

they cencore books for bad words , like moby dick(a classic book ) coz captain ahab is hunting a sperm whale (no joke )
or all programms when to much naked skin is involved
but you can forward download right wing extremist music and violence !!!

Not really, i read it on a dutch review site where they put it exactly like you just did. I just read the official press release and its not that bad.

Oh, and i am using Linux Ubuntu at home, its free and after you set it up, you dont have any trouble with it and it looks nice too.

And emate and jayl0ve, I'm pretty much with you guys...I fail to see the point of the iPad and most Apple products in general. They all pretty much give off that "Useless Thing That Everyone Else Has" vibe.

If you want an iPad that badly, I'd really suggest waiting for next year's version that is more stable, functional, and also cheaper.

Ask yourself what you can use it for. If you cant think of any reason dont buy it. If you can think of 1 or more reasons wait to buy it until the second generation is out because:

* No flash. Flash is a major part of the web. Without it being included, you will likely be missing a lot.
