DAAAAMN!!!!!! Haha I remember back in the day, hearing stories about guys getting knives pulled on them in arcades for using throws in Street Fighter 2  But I never heard about anybody actually getting stabbed.

This is sad really, that anybody could take a game so seriously. That kid is never gonna be the same.

This douche that used to play here, 'Exorz', once said after a loss in TS2 that he got so mad that he smashed/broke his new HDTV

BTW who the F still plays Counterstrike??

Seriously.

Last time I played that game, I was also still playing Battlefield: 1942 online...on my PC. I guess I never really understood the mass appeal of Counterstrike. It never struck me as anything besides your average 'Doom-clone'.

I don't think it's that popular in the US at all, but then again I was never a huge, hardcore Counterstrike fan. I pretty much stick to DOOM, Duke Nuken 3D, and Quake as far as FPS's go. Nothing could ever top DOOM or DOOM 2 in my opinion. I love the atmosphere/personality of those games, something that Counterstrike seemed to lack.

i´m on same line.
duke nukem 3 d on PS1 was a awesome game.
i played that game so long time.
also doom and quake are awesome games.

i played counterstrike only very short coz i hate to play with mouse and tastatur (keyboard)
and to play with controller about mouse+keyboard makes no sense-coz you have no chance with controller. so i stoped playing.
but i have alot of counterstrike nerds as friends - so i watch it alot.

still a old game - but very popular forward in germany

I was a big Doom / Doom 2 fan too. Doom 3 was ok, great graphics and all that, but gameplay not as fun.

The closest game to Doom at the moment is Resistance 2. There is a lot of similarities there (I felt Resistance 2 kind of copied Doom :), similar guns, enemies, great for Doom fans and fun gameplay.

Yeah I agree about Doom 3. It had awesome graphics for an Xbox game, but honestly a lot of the old Doom charm was lost with the great graphics and the inclusion of a stupid 'storyline'.

Doom 2 is going to be released pretty soon on Xbox Live, I'll be buying that for sure.

From 2001-2002 I probably averaged at least 3 hours a day playing Counterstrike. Incredibly addictive when you can play. But by the end of it I was purposely using the crap guns or just going commando with a knife and some hardware. Mac10 kills were the best.

Oh, and Doom 3 sucks. I was a big fan of the original, but couldn't enjoy stumbling around in pitch black corridors, getting ambushed from behind every time I pick up a shotgun shell. Poor design, I gave up for good after less than 2 hours.
