RAFA DONE?

Postby Chederer » Thu, 04 Feb 2010 19:37

i think Nadal's knees have seen better days and when you are experiencing knee tendonitis at such an early age there is not much to look forward to...in football(american or european)you can still play with shot knees---tennis is one of those sports to where you need to have very good movement---i think Nadal has reached his prime and will not be the same ever again---dont get me wrong he can still make a pretty dang good living for another 5-7 years playing tennis and winning 6 majors is pretty awesome even if you have a 20 year career...i vote no Rafa will not be the same ever again....also before all of the anadrol and steroids that could not be detected--do you think players in the past have used this tactic and could over come knee tendonitis?

Xavi is a bout to rip you a new one

Welcome back man, I missed you. I am bored during the day here.

On topic. Nadal will be fine. I truly believe it. I think he is smart enough to adjust his game and I think he will. This injury is an alarm for that.

i don't think he is done, he is very young he has a lot of time to fully recover from this injuries.

knee tendinitis isn't as hard as it sounds. i had knee tendinitis a few years ago i stopped playing completely for 3 months and with special treatment i was as good as new.

He may come back, he may win a few more slams, but it will definitely be tougher to come back now than when he did after Wimbledon, tons of players getting into form. But in my opinion he has passed his peak.

I beleive he will play but not be the same again, especially not on hard courts.

tendonitis is a hard thing to ever get over with and when you play you try to avoid hurting it again, you overcompensate and hurt something else, like he just did.

But i could be wrong, so please dont kill me Xavi

I voted that he will not be number one again. Well . . . unless players are injured or there are unexpected retirements. :D

I've said Yes because tbh nobody really knows the full extent of his injuries, I thought he looked very good as ever at the start of this year he was just unlucky.

It's too early to be writing him off, let's hope for him to come back strong on the clay and the grass.
