Please, as a favor to me :P Watch today's match. All I am asking. The guy deserves support, you WILL be entertained. I would love to hear your opinion win or lose.

@Iain
 Yep. Lets discuss that after the match. You will have easier time to convince me :P

Sorry Djarvik but Gulbis seems to be heading the wrong way on the evidence of this performance. He was hitting the ball but appeared really disengaged. The serve was good, the groundies ok but his movement was lacklustre and his volley poor.

I know he can play better than this but I still see him as nothing more than a great ball striker who can play great one week and terrible the next. I hope he puts the work in and proves me wrong over the next couple of years though.

I was expecting Gulbis to push Murray, from the hype we have seen in some media (and here).

Nevertheless, it was a solid performance from Murray.

If Murray can subside the pressure of playing at Wimbledon amongst his home crowd, I think he will win it.

If Gulbis plays very well and just intimidate Murray, he will win it.

I do not think Murray will get far at Wimbledon, because it seems like every home country player there does not do well. LOL.

So, I am going to go with Gulbis on this one, going with the odds as one put it here.

I was thinking that, but I was not 100% sure. I cannot get Wimbledon on ESPN 360. I thought we were speculating here . . . LOL.

Sorry mate. Doing research now . . .

2009-06-25 1/32 A. Murray 3-0 E. Gulbis 6-2 7-5 6-3

Haha. Thanks Dragos.

I read your quote from Michael Jackson, and I was very sad to hear that he died today at the hospital.

It appears that all of his who picked Gulbis to win, should now punch ourselves repeatedly until we feel dizzy because we mad one of the dumbest picks ever. :D

Murray did look pretty good, but he is still boring to me

I don't really understand what the big deal with Gulbis is. He's not all that great a player...TONS of people can whallop the ball. I've seen him play many times and the only thing that's impressed me is the raw power. Other than that, he makes some really really dumb decisions, often.

He is not as bad as Blake. He just plays like Youzny. Guy has too many great shots but do not know what to do with himself or construct the plays against his opponents.

Not as BAD as Blake? Blake is a much better player than Gulbis. They suffer from the same brain disease and pick stupid shots to hit frequently, but Blake does everything a little better than Gulbis.
