i really hope for a final FEDERER -NADAL

federer have the harder work to do to reach the final against DJOKO.

i saw youznys 2 last matches-i think nadal must not be scared to play his SF against him. i think he will reach the final without loosing a set .

He is in-love with Nadal  ...and love is blind.

When asked if he is playing the best he ever played so far, Nadal said firmly - No. I am not playing the best tennis.

:? - I mean I know he expects a lot from himself, but at this stage, its just lame. I mean obviously this was his best year yet and best US Open yet. He is playing the best I have ever seen him play...so why say "no"?

All the experts just go for the flavour of the month. These were the same guys who were saying not to long ago Federer could win Wimbledon serve and volleying. What now he can't volley anymore?

That's very ture, but McEnroe does have a man-crush on Nadal.

well actually he couldn't win serving and volleying if Nadal is still paying tennis haha, in the past maybe, but nowadays all the players return very well, almost impossible to win Wimbly playing like Taylor Dent does for example.

Well, it seems Youzhny is mentally not good enough - as expected.

But here in NY is one thing which is not in Melbourne, Paris or London:

If Nadal get s attacked with flat and fast groundstrokes, he s unable to bring those bombs back 3 consecutive times, 2 is the maximum because the surface is too fast.
In Melbourne he s able to defend 4-5 of those strokes, same in Wimbledon, and in Paris he can defend maybe 8-10 powerstrokes in a row.

Del Potro is arguably the most dangerous opponent for Nadal, especially in New York.
I predict he would beat him 10 of 10 times there.

If Federer should be his opponent on Sunday, he just need to play his natural game for quick surfaces and should win.
Just if Nadal really broke him mentally he has a realistic chance to win.

if Rafa and Federer reach the final, i hope not the best day for Roger at serving and Nadal playing to Federer's backhand as usual, that should be enough

This is enough in Paris, Melbourne and Wimbledon, but not in New York.

Federer s backhand is more dangrous as faster the surface is. If he finds his rythm he plays much winner s with it (the main difference to Sampras).

PS: Fed has to win vs. Djokovic first. Youzhny is already mentally broken, i wouldn t put a dime on him to win 1 set.

There is absolutely nothing wrong mentaly with Youzhny. Tired - yes.

Youzhny one of the stronger players mentally out there. In fact, it seems that the madder he gets the better he plays.

Nadal is playing exactly as he should to win the title, but, he won't be able to play the same against Roger. He needs to get in Rogers head to win it I think. If Roger remains relaxed as he has been so far - it's a straight set win for him.
