He walked of the last 15 minutes of practice with Simon. Simon had to call his hitting partner in to finish the practice hour. Boy did Blake look bad! First round exit, for sure.....just looked out of it.

btw if Nadal wins the US Open will become the youngest tennis player ever to win the 4 Grand Slams.

well... that select club is integrated by 6 players only:

Fred Perry
Donald Budge
Rod Laver
Roy Emerson
Andre Agassi
Roger Federer

so responding you're question... "ever", he would make it at the age of 24

Xavi, I saw Rafa practice yesterday. It doesn't look good. He was agitated. Mainly worked on his serve with Tony looked a bit mad at him :?

He was not happy with his serve and was shanking a few Forehands also.

Usually they would practice for an hour and then play a set. Nadal didn't. He practiced and then left without playing a set with Robredo.

Blake was the worst. He really looked below average. He practiced with Simon and left 15 min before the hour was up. Simon called one of his hitting partners in to finish the practice and no set was played either in this one.

Nalbandian and Almagro looked good. They were practicing with each other and it was a delight. Smiles all around, joking. Cleeeeeaaan hard hitting. The court was full of people cheering them on.

Berdych looked awesome. Damn. He didn't miss at all (hardly) and was destroying the ball. Very confident looking.

Ferrero was practicing with Djoker, later playing a set. Looked actually pretty good. But he will have to face the Chick (Dolgopolov). I got to see him hit first time.....man, I know now why this tiny guy wins. Watch out! He has got THE weirdest technique of all. Its bizarre really, but what impressed me the most, is how he can hit the 2 extremes Forehands. He can COMPLETELY flatten it out and he can top spin it with the best of them. Tons of variety and great hands.

From the girls I saw Safina, who looked terrible and looked like she wanted to just leave...... Ivanovich looked fine once the point started, but boy.....she could not get a serve in and that toss was way to the right and in front. Kia Kanepi lost like 20 lbs and looks sharp. Kuzi looked great as always at US Open. Stousur second serve was noticeably better then most men's out there yesterday
