qood question, i think Nole will do well this year, and i hope Rafa is fine to play there in good conditions......Federer is a super player, but clay has never been his surface.
I hope this year the balls are a bit slower (were smaller and faster)

Clay has never been his surface?...Excuse me Xavi, but if Rafa wouldn't have been there who knows how many RG and/or Grand Slam (the 4 GS in the year) Roger would have win?...He's simply the best player on clay AFTER Rafa (who is an alien on this surface...)...
And i hope they're gonna stop to slow the game!

It should be fast on grass and slow on clay, that simple, each surface has to be different. Last year in France Soderling and Federer had 1000 aces during the tornament, i don´t wanna see that when i´m watching a match on clay, serving can´t be a weapon on clay
And yeah you´re probably right about Federer on clay, he´s good

Kinda agree with Xavi......I really don't care who benefits and who does not, I am just happy that they try and make surfaces as different as humanly possible. I say make every surface as distinct as possible....this will allow for more varied tennis and more "specialists" players. They are always fun.

I got your point...And i agree with you about the surfaces...I also agree with you about acing on clay...Actually,i was mostly thinking about Wimby when i wrote this...
And of course Fed is good on clay! It's not HIS surface but to me he's as good as Guga,Muster,Moya,Bruguera,...maybe better! (again : my opinion...)And he can thanks Rafa for that!

Yeah, from what players were saying, the balls were insanely light and fast last year. They've also used slower balls at Wimbledon, which I don't agree with either.

Federer is definately Nr. 2 on clay, Nr. 1 is Rafa of course.
Djokovic is not even Nr. 3, more Del Potro.

I see 2 scenarios for the French:

1) Nadal is in his best shape. He beat Federer - who plays without any pressure now - in 5 sets, quarter, semi or final.
But his toughest macht will be against DelPo, who had won the French last year without Federer. DelPo s game should be more dangarous for Rafa than any others, on clay too.

2) Nadal is not in best shape. Federer goes to the final, winning it or losing against Del Potro.

If all of them are at their best (on clay), my rank looks like this:

1) Nadal
2) Federer
3) Del Potro
4) Djokovic

If Rafa were not to be injured right now, I would go with him, but I think Federer or Djokovic will take the cup on clay this year:

1) Federer
2) Djokovic
3) Nadal

I agree, but at the Slams Djokovic has been dissappointing the last 18 months, look at his excellent form ahead of Roland Garros last year, and yet he went out with a wimper really.
