Caroline was obviously just joking around, as you can see she knows how bad muscle cramps can be :\

...dnno what it is about tennis and everyone mimicking everyone else lol.

The USTA badly needs to get a court with a roof. The other three majors all have one.

It doesn't yet, but they are building one on Philippe Chatrier. The USTA doesn't have any plans to do so.

well it's a $150 million roof, and as you all should know we're in the worst economic crisis since the great depression
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Some covers would at least help the turnaround time when the rain stops.

People towelling down the courts is ridiculous.

Seriously... those vacuum/blower machines are a bit better than towels, but keeping something dry has been important and done correctly for over 3000 years. I don't understand why Flushing Meadows thinks they know better than everyone else.

Yeah, but that's not really hurting athletics in the United States. Professional sports are still making millions or billions of dollars -- tennis obviously isn't football, basketball, or baseball, but I don't think they are hurting for cash. Golf certainly isn't.

On a completely unrelated note, it is hotter than...some hot thing. I dunno, IT'S THAT HOT right now, that I can't come up with anything better.
