The only thing Gulbis does better than a Top 20 player.

Let's not forget that Federer is only seeded 6th so he's expected to lose in the QF

The same players he's supposed to meet in R16 and QF he met last year in the QF and SF. What a drop in ranking!

Anyone remember Samuel Groth 8)

Current tournament serve speed with 234 km/h

Edit: Solid match by Fed, nothing else to say. Some nice vintage backhands.

i think nadal's performance last night just showed why he is the favorite for the tournament. Monfils wasn't great, but wow!

pretty excited for some of the matches in the top half. Fed v Tsonga, Dimitrov v Batista Agut. Didn't dimitrov have like on 17 unforced errors in 4 sets with Raonic? should have some nice shotmaking in those matches.

oh and why in the world is genie bouchard v casey dellacqua scheduled for the night session on laver? Don't get me wrong, I could watch genie play tennis pretty much anytime of the day (she's in my avatar pic) but you have 2 higher seeds forced out to hisense for a 30 seed and an unranked australian?

Nadal's performance was mostly flawless and you could tell that at one point in each set Monfils stopped giving shits :D He did the occasional ripper though.

Garbine Muguruza kept up her momentum from Hobart and beat Wozniacki, could be a future Top 10 (Moralspain agrees).

I haven't seen a female match in a year or so but i've heard that she is a player with huge potential.

PS: BTW as far as i know she's not from Spain, correct me if i'm wrong.

She's half spanish half venezuelan and have lived all his life in BCN. She plays WTA as a spanish player, but last year said "no" to the spanish FedCup team. Now she doubts between Spain and Venezuela's nationality.

Anyway, she plays great tennis!

all right we are starting to get some big matches on the mens side today. anybody have any predictions for fed-tsonga, dimitrov-batista agut?

I like tsonga in five, and dimitrov in four. Murray and nadal will both probably be in straight sets.

I would say Federer in 4 and Dimitrov in 5. Bautista has been playing really, really well.

Edit: Nadal won't lose more than 4 games per set. Well that was off a bit but he will still win in 3

Edit: Dimitrov in 4 8)

Edit: Federer in 5 (3)

Nice one. Kei is leading 5-4 right now though, so Nadal not losing more than 4 games per set doesn't hold up. But to give a prediction myself instead of just bashing: 7-6 6-3 6-2 to Nadal :(

Oh, and Fed in 3 8)

Couldn't watch Federer because of work. Just read ATP site that he displayed a "vintage performance". Faced only one break point which he saved.

He has been using a larger Wilson racket since 2014?
