I hope that you have not been awake all night to watch this match :D. Tomic retired after losing 6-4 in the 1st set

Sadly I was up for that  , couldn't go to sleep while watching hewitt/ seppi. Feel so bad for hewitt, thought he was coming in with some confidence under his belt but only to go out in the first round

Verdasco got 20 aces, let's see if he can finally pull off good tournament, he had plasma-rich platelets injected into his knees months ago, like Nadal
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Well, Seppi deserved to lose.
I mean, he played very well, but also wasted too much opportunities to win the match way before the 5th,
He was up a break in the 3rd and 4th sets (both in the first game) and in the final set he was up 2-0 and had 2 balls for the 3-0 (with a double break).

In spite of this, he had to face a match point on 4-5.
Credits to Hewitt for his multiple comebacks during the match, but Andreas could (and should) have won it before.

Novak ftw

French No. 18 seed Gilles Simon saved seven match points in a marathon 6-7(4), 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 16-14 win over Daniel Brands. In the match lasting four hours and 32 minutes, Simon rallied from 15/40 and three advantages down at 9-10 in the fifth set and again recovered from 15/40 at 13-14. He broke Brands at 14-14 before serving out victory.

Tough loss for Brands

The only thing Gulbis does better than a Top 20 player.

Nice comeback by Murray, was 1-5 down in 3rd set, then won the next 24 points to 7-5. :)

Nadal vs Monf could be interesting. They played a 3-setter in the Qatar final.
