The Art of Tennis?

Anyone else thinking this is pretty damn stupid...

I'd love to see some original artwork - no matter how good or bad - but hitting paint-drenched balls onto a stencil?!?! Not a damn thing original about that! Image

Didn't Navratilova do something like that?
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

I actually am a painter/artist and have many times wondered how I could combine it with my interest in tennis. All I can say is that I would not have made this. The paintings feel very 80's...they are awful.

I wonder whose so-called art will sell for more - Rafa's or Roger's?

So far, Rafa leads $9,000 to $8,101. :)

Rafa: $11,500
Fed: $11,700

time left: 9 days
to be honest it would be great to have one of those at home, but not paying that amount of money
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

"Andy Roddick’s artwork surges to $33,100 on final day of auction - bettering the totals of both Nadal and Federer."

My guess: Roddick's wife raided the family piggy bank and upped the ante. No other reason for Roddick's crap-art to outsell the crap-art of the No. 1 and No. 2.

I saw this Cro. I actually liked Andy's art!! :P

I would not pay for it though. The sales pricing is a bit silly. 8)
