Welcome to Australian Open 2014 on the ITST Tennis Elbow 2013 Pro Tour! After a little delay due to release of ITST Mod 1.16 the tournament has finally started on January 18th at 3:50 AM CET. Deadlines have been adjusted accordingly, of course! Let us take a look at the Draw:

Draw

A must read for everyone:

Australian Open Preview by C4iLL

Australian Open Interviews by C4iLL

From the Top 8 seeds players, the top half is featuring Richie1308 (Hewitt), Robbin92 (Berdych), VMoe86 (Haas) and Felipe.M (Djokovic), but some interesting other players as well: In R64 IsniperXZ (Fognini), the uprising talent from Italy, is looking to challenge the world number one, his compatriot The-Boss94 (Federer) battling it out with Vincetheprince (Tsonga) and Sorauze (Seppi) and the other quarterfinalist might arise from pigrosofo (Federer) -- another Italian --, Mikefare (Janowicz) or the newly motivated Robbin92 (Berdych)! The next quarter will likely be decided by VMoe86 (Haas), J.Grilo (Federer), isaldor (Federer) or Felipe.M (Djokovic).

The lower half has C4iLL (Nadal), butcher (Gasquet), tdbchess (Djokovic) and Vramvrim (Davydenko) as Top 8 seeds, but some lower-ranked players will be huge challenges: C4iLL (Nadal) might face MaGav (Hewitt) again, to whom he lost at Brisbane. tdbchess (Djokovic) could face inseedious (Gasquet), who is making a comeback on tour, but perhaps leonmonstroso (del Potro) will spoil the party? The winner of that section will have to face the winner of the final section in the Draw, where Vramvrim (Davydenko) is the top favourite.

There is also a poll to vote for the winner, including the Top 8 seeds and the choice "Someone else".

We might see some upsets we cannot foresee now due to ITST Mod 1.16 or players not in their best form. Have fun and good luck everyone!

AO 2014

Postby Fez » Wed, 15 Jan 2014 08:59

Just signed up last second for AO. I am in Thailand/Myanmar right now. I will be back the 21st of jan. I am just informing my opponent and asking management for a couple days extra to play first round. I don't wanna miss AO!
Thanks

The general ITST rules also apply to the mighty Fez:
9.) Please do not register for a tournament if you aren't available for play during a specific round. If you do not play your match, you will get no points whatsoever from that tournament. It doesn’t matter what round you were in!

From the moment on ITST Mod 1.16 has been made publically available (within 30 to 60 minutes from now), you will have 24 hours to make change your character for AO 2014. If you encounter some "Double Entry" error message, please notify me via PM.

1.16 released here : viewtopic.php?p=248106#p248106

PLease note that i found a first issue with 1.16 (too late it's released and i need to sleep):

The third Melbourne AO court physics has not be changed (i probably forgot it unfortunately).

As our plexicushion is now slightly faster for all other courts, please dont use this court to play
Plexicushion tournaments.

So the court to be avoided is Grand Slam Tennis 2 AO Court, this court is slower than it should be.

I could maybe make an update fix later on, but then both players wil have to install the fix to use the court, or this wil create desyncs, so not sure we'll update for this.
Hello friend ;)

Indeed, I had to laugh out loud at quite a few moments ("Vramvrim the biggest loser of 2013" for instance, it still makes me  ). Good work and thanks for the new nick, Haashole! :tu

Thanks, I had fun writing them. Hope it can inspire more people to write during the season coz it doesn't take much time to ask some questions and write funny stuff ;)
