A potential answer for the "lackofpowa effect" felt by Fez

For a few weeks, I've been using a very basic option that had helped me to investigate this issue : the setting that displays the number of FPS at left. Most of you may use it already but I think it's interesting to share my experience about that.

I indeed discovered several things : the rare times I experienced these slow conditions it was when my "Frame Per Second" were blocked at 58,8 fps instead of 60.
Under these conditions, the whole game changes and lacks of fluidity : the ball for instance becomes far less fluid. This has a huge impact on your positioning and also on your timing to counter and hit correctly the ball. It also decrease your ability to anticipate and defend well because your eyes are disturbed.

What is very weird is that this happens to me even when I have a lot of free memory available on my computer. It seems it happens when I don't close TE for a time, or when I join another server after having played a set.
The best solution is either to relaunch TE or to restart : as soon as you reach 60 fps at max, the game becomes perfect again.

I don't know if this 58,8 fps stuff is a glitch with the use of the memory of the game, but beware of this. If you feel the game doesn't run smoothly, just restart, kill some Windows processes/applications or other stuff that turn in background like Mozilla as it may have an impact.

I don't know what it depends. I have often 58.8 fps. I tried to use 59/60hz refresh on my graphic card but this don't have effect at all. As I said - I have often 58.8, sometimes I have 59,9-60,2 (I see switching all the time between these two value). My PC in enough fast I think, even if I choose very low graphic details. Sometimes I feel also this "lackpowa effect" but I am not sure is it from from FPS (I mean, sometimes its OK to play at 58.8 for me). 58.8 is OK, but only if it is constant, when I have some other processes in background (like Mozilla, but depends how many tabs are opened etc), fps drops sometimes a little for tiny moment, and game is juddering/stuttering a little (I don't know how to call it), I see also signs of little lag (turtles, even conditions are perfect). It is not a memory thing, it is more depending from CPU I think.
I wonder, how in this case, game looks for my opponent. Is it affecting also him or just me. Maybe FPS depends also from opponent's PC, if he has not full number of FPS, then is something wrong ?
C4ill - when you have 58.8 fps, try to play vs CPU, check how many FPS you will get. Maybe it tell us something more.

Yep I tried this a few times by the past, and indeed, when I have the 58,8 fps issue, it is also present against the CPU. But the effects are far more annoying online than offline.
As soon as the game is restarted, the game runs smoothly vs both CPU/Online and I notice that it is at 60 fps.

On my computer I can tell you anyway, that there is a huge gap between 58,8 fps locked and a 59,8-60 constant. Maybe there are some options in the menu you can disable to reach that figure constantly. You can also use a program to activate fully the "SpeedStep" level of your computer in Windows it may have an impact.

Who'd have thought? Fez was right all along.

I tested this FPS thingy myself and whenever I had 58.8 FPS online, that's when the usual symptoms showed up. The game definitely feels, heavy, dirty and all that body related issues. I play with bunburry sounds and you can definitely hear the difference as well. Strikes aren't strong. You rarely hear the loudest BOOM sound for acceleration.

Now that it's confirmed is there a way to counter it? I say counter because I played against this guy called Zen. One time it was relaunching the game many times over and over during 4 hours.
But today I started my computer fresh and went straight to the game. Same thing happened again with this guy.

Maybe both computers should be prepared, not only ours :)
I guess game is somehow synchronised for same FPS to both players.

The problem will never be fixed. Because the ones responsible for fixing it don't care and/or don't recognize the issue.

At least this post represents a mini-redemption for me.
