I'd like to come back on my match against Kyuuji as i haven't comment it. We had a pretty short match comparing to all the other matchs we had in exhibition and even in competition. Our last official match was in US Open ending in a five setter match so we were both pretty suprise with it especially match was pretty tied with lot of good points. I suggest you to get the replay in the TE Media Center.

To come back on VMoe match well nothing much to add. I managed during the tournament to get back my level on track. Leading a good match against Otlichno and a having a good game on the baseline against Kyuuji, i managed to keep that against VMoe. Indeed i got late in the early first set loosing my 2 first engagement letting VMoe to lead 4-0. I managed to catch up at last but to late.

I played pretty well in the second set, having a really good reading of his game and serving really well. Unfortunatly my strategy was wrong, i failed to play the baseline game which worked against Kyuuji. I should have be more offensive a try to come to the net but Vmoe with nadal hit lot of semi volley and hit pretty good top spin on the baseline. With much less stamina, you could not bare for long , long rallies and the key is to end up quickly points which i failed to do.

Indeed the big popularity VMoe i am happy with 2 things. First i have reach the final where i think nobody would have bet on me. Secondly i wasn't suprise at all and i really think the match was playable for me. I had the weapons to hurt him and get the win on him but his baseline was enough to handle the game and win.

Simple game, simple strategy, and a win, well thats make a champ no ? Indeed in my opinion score doesn't mean all, i didn't felt like smash by Vmoe and i'm glad he got the win like i said he deserve it for his amazing race in this last stage of the season.

For my conclusion pretty good tournament, i really had good time and had good sequences in here. I don't think i could do better, my seek on footworks errors and slices placement aren't efficient like in US Open so i could not expect more. Nadal is stronger that's the bottom line but don't worry i think like everybody i'll be ready for challenge next year

Thanks Fox, saving me some time with writing a match report. Just to add, there were some moments where I had to be extremely focused: First set, after the early break to 1-0 for me, I was down 0-30 on my service. You win that game, you maybe find confidence to fight back and play on a higher level the next game.

And in the second set, I think you were up 2-1 or 1-0, I was serving to catch up. It worked well, was up 40-0 on serve. I made one or two errors there, but suddenly it was on deuce. It was important to win that game, because you started reading the game well, serving well. Would have been a huge task to get back there in the set if I were broken.

I held there and somehow I managed to get a break when you were 30-0 up on serve at 2-2. Thus I only had to serve it out, but certainly I'm always looking to get the job done as early as possible -- with a break at 5-3!

You certainly can be satisfied with your level Fox, this was noticeably better than at Shanghai or Kremlin Cup. You had the chance to become year-end number 1 with a win against me, sorry to have denied you that.

Personally, I feel happy and relieved, because people expected me to win here (looking at the votes) -- that was some pressure, which I could deal with. In addition, this was a big tournament, the second highest tournament category there is. I don't even know if I will play the ITST WTF in 2013, there are so many good players who have joined and did not have enough time to qualify for WTF. So, this was a unique chance of winning it and I managed it!

For 2013, it won't be enough to sustain this level, I believe. I will play a reduced schedule, only Masters 1000 and Grand Slams. It is really exhausting to play multiple tournaments at the same time. People underrate how much mental energy a tough match takes out of you. It's not just about the technical aspects, the head plays a crucial role, too.

My head needs a break and it is quite fitting that I have planned a trip from Saturday until Wednesday next week. Thanks to everyone who supported me, wished me good luck (Danke, Marco! Extra eine PM deswegen zu schreiben, zu gut. ) and especially the first day tour members -- it was really nice seeing "our baby" growing up, now it is slowly getting into puberty and problems arise.

Anyway, I agree with you about how exhausting the tour can be when you go far on tournaments. It's very easy to do a burnout. And mental freshness is crucial during the important points like break points.

So for the newcomers, don't play too much because one day you'll pay it
