It's been a while we know netcords only happen when you make a bad shot (so really more likely to happen in defense) and yeah, it is not well-made. Myself I had bad luck against Vramvrim in the us open final in the second set on a debreak point for me.

Now is there a way to hit those ? Deliberately no, you can't hit those consistently. However, there are shots where I myself know that they are either going to end with a netcord or in the net. Its a problem of the game, definitely, but makes sense to its gameplay : if you have a good placement and hit the ball well, you cannot miss except by your fault so it explains why you only see netcords on bad shots. Still, it would be great if there wasn't those.

I think I also had a couple of netcords in that match against Vramvrim, from various positions (after a volley, after a short accell attack within the court or on defence), but of course I remember more those happening in crucial moments against me. I still remember how C4iLL broke me in Kremlin Cup 2012 Final (first set) with like 3 or 4 netcords in one game.

As Richie said, it happens more when you are not hitting the ball properly, which is more the case when you are standing far behind and thus are too far away from the ball. Too many netcords are going to the other side of the net, which is something the game author could change.

I can live far better with netcords than with freezes during rallies (due to connection), because that aspect of the game can be at least controlled by the players (the algorithm behind netcords cannot).
