Let's applaude the victory of GoRoger, which is his first on the tour ! I think it won't be the last regarding his service quality ! 8)

Great Goroger! After incredible losses, he won his first field match !
Djarvik , so strong your opponent?

C4ill, maybe you should add some tiebreak lose to Goroger to the ranking , before his victory maybe he lost others tie breaks....

Just had a nice match with Martan.
Haven't played TE for some weeks because I've started back at university, but matches like this remind me how much fun TE with the ITST community is!

This was a good match.... clean aggressive hitting from both of us. He was Berdych, I was Fed. I approached the net more, he played at the baseline more.
Some impressive crosscourt exchanges, good use of angles.

I was pretty clutch, saving 16 of 18 break points :p But I fell apart in the first tie-break, and he was better as well in the 2nd.

Juani def. Ary1g
64 46 67
Quite bad connection with 4-5 disconnects from Juani's side. (He disconnected from both TE and Chat at the same time and was gone for 5-10 mins each time) Not intentional I think, but took aprox. 40 min before we were able to play without a stop/disconnect. 320ms average, so conditions were a quite tough with some lag now and then.

The first set was a nice mix of outlasting eachother and going for big shots. I was doing some S&V with good success and was able to break him in the in the 6th game and served out the set. Both played well.

The 2nd set he started using drop shots. I'd been standing quite far behind the baseline on return games so far, so it made sense to go for them imo. After a few holds from both at 2-2, he had frequently been using drops for easy points and I was starting to feel a bit cheated by it, but still playable. Tried to stay closer to the baseline, but I was never expecting so many drops. After he saw how effective they were. He practically started playing drops and followed to the net 2-3 times in each game, and always on big points(break points, game points etc). I was able to snatch a few lucky net duels, but mostly I couldn't reach his drops or he was able to put away my digs. He got the break and served out the set.

Sadly, I forgot to record the match, and wasn't able to get a recording for the 3rd set, despite trying to make it work. So I won't complain anymore than giving this negative review of the match. He played well and fair in the 1st. In the 3rd he played good, but still used drops frequently, at least one and sometimes 2 in each game, playable, but I was too pissed to focus. :stupd

Cerji def. Juani 6/3 3/6 6/0

I started the match pretty well, broke him at 3-2 and held from there.
At 3-3 in the second set we had a really long game on his serve where i had 3 BP but he managed to save them all (he hit two netcords in a row  )
Losing that game kinda annoyed me, i lost my focus and did some stupid errors in the next game which got him the break and he won the second set 6/3 playing very well.
Losing that set really annoyed me so I tried hard to bagel him in the decider, plus his behavior wasn't so great he was spamming drop shots, calling me lucky for no reason and ironically aplauding me but it got me more motivated.
Anyway he's a good player, he defends very well and it was a tough match today.

Indiantonike def goroger 6-7 (5) / 7-6 (5) / 7-6 (3)

I think score is enough telling about how match was close.

In the first set, we both keeps easily our serve, with 40-0 or 40-15. I only had 3 break points at 1-1, and he had 2 too at 4-3 I think. At tie break, I was something like "I'm facing the king of the TB lost, keep up ! " ^^. I got a mini break to lead 2-1. Immediatly, he got the mini break back. I got one more mini-break to lead 3-2. Then, he won 4 points in a row if I remember and finally won the set 7-5.

Second set was like the first. Goroger served so well, so I got 0 break point :( At 4-4, he led 0-40, but I served well to come back to 40A. He got one more break point but I finally got my serve. Looking at how he served, break points were like match points ... Then in the tie break, it was something like in the first set, but I managed to keep mini break :D

In the 3rd set if I remember well, we didn't have break point ... so new tie break. I quickly get the mini-break, then two mini breaks, and I finally won 7-3. I have really been lucky since Goroger, who served perfeclty before, has never do 1st serve, so I was able to attack on the 2nd ball.

I don't have the stats of the match, but he hit something like 30 aces  And we were both at +/- 65% of 1st serve.

Roger is surely in the top5 of the best ITST servers.

But with these 2 new tie-breaks lost, his stats are now 3 won, 14 lost
