Without the update i noticed that high bounce control top spins are not that much effective cuz they can be countered with power shots easily. as power shots are more effective and can be hitted close to lines. When my opponent used High bounce control top spin, then I was able to push him around and hit winners using power shots. But with update you might need control shots to Hit winners and to counter them. The most effective shot was power top spin cross court. Movement I felt was better and was allowing to reach short crosses control shots much more easily than with the update

You lost because your opponent was better then you I gather.

Rankings do need to be updated, but at this point manually, we will have to spend out personal time now, rather then it being automated.


And I agree with C4il here, announcing your retirement after a one hard loss? How do you think your opponents that lose with 0 0 feel. That is lame dude

No update= same conditions for both players. Anyways lviolinl have already defeated sh0case twice with the update in straight sets. I thought the final would be uploaded by now. Update did help with power shots but I don't think there was a major change of gameplay. Just power shots helped against high bounce top spins a bit more. Just need to make a few adjustments with your game

I'm saying, with a bit more patience, those matches could have been played when the servers were back (today), still with time for rankings to be updated. They were both Grand Slam Finals
The fact that the servers are back and I've already played 3 ITST matches shows it was a case of the update having an affect on my losses and not a case of just losing, so that 'lamer' talk is retarded.
C4ill, I'm not number 1 on every tour any more so you don't need to be disheartened for the community.

The difference between the latest update and the old one is extreme. Pre pressing is better, control shots are different; weaker without a shot making skill, which I didn't realise until playing. (My match v lViolinl and then Likos were my only matches on this patch since whenever this patch was actually in place)
lViolinl does a lot of power shots and certainly pre pressing so it made his game more effective as he beat me using a setup he admitted he can't defeat me with (Yellow BH, red FH). The 2 times he has beaten me he was Welch when I was Rabari, the other time he made a 2 orange wings Neuwirth.
If I wanted to be as competitive as I can be on this old patch with the servers down, I would actually have to play the game away from ITST, which I haven't done since January. I have no desire to do this when I'm looking to start playing Tennis Elbow more than TS4. I don't think the old patch is better, and that effort to continue playing when I didn't see the servers being down as permanent was not something that appealed to me. After our match lViolinl even sent me a message saying my game wasn't right, it doesn't translate well on the old patch, simple really. THIS proves C4ill's theory that I've ever glitched as stupid and incorrect too.

If I had beaten Likos, I still would have made the same decision. It's not about losing, it's the reason I lost. I lost to Fifa Tee in Roland Garros before the servers went down, no complaints. I've lost to lViolinl before, no complaints. I just don't think I would have lost in that fashion to him on the latest patch, I don't even think I'd have lost but that's not something I can prove now. As far as Likos goes, he was Nadal on the old update , I went to 5 sets.. I've never lost a set to Likos in our other 4 matches, all on the latest update.

lViolinl was way better than me in that match, I don't think Likos was but his stamina decided the match IMO.

Again, people have this misconception of how I react to defeats. Go through my losses, you'll see I lost badly to Dapery and Bkristian in 2011 but didn't make any decision to retire.
It's simple really, IF i played these matches with the latest update and lost in the same way, I would have read all these posts and ignored them. It's funny because if Fifa Tee played his semis, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Anyway, let's see what happens at Wimbledon, I hope I play both players again but I fully expected and understand the excitement in the reactions of certain people, as it makes a Top Spin tour on ITST look competitive again

Why would you think that? I have to convert the file which takes hours. Then I upload it which takes hours. I record in HD, Fifa Tee doesn't so the 'next day' uploads only happen when he's recording. Considering I have so many matches to play too, I don't have time to upload yet, only convert. However, I wasn't aware anybody asked me to upload anything, but from your post there's nothing to see as it's obvious why I lost

Its great that the server issues where fixed quickly. But you have to agree that it could have taken a lot longer as far as we knew. Updating the ranking in time for Wimbledon is always really important for us. If we couldnt even update the rankings of Roland Garros in time for Wimbledon i would really question the idea behind ITST. Fact is that the ranking updating process is something that goes automatically. The finished tournaments are put in a queue and every night a few are updated into the rankings. Its not something that i know how to trigger. From experience i know that waiting for the last day to let the rankings be updated is a bad idea. I could easily switch the roles here and say you probably could have played the finals earlier. You didnt know that the server issues where gonna happen, we didnt knew when they would end.

If you say you probably lost due to the change you might be right. I and other members here can not judge that as well as you and your opponent. I do think that how it happened was fair enough. Both players knew what was going on and had time to prepare themselves for what they where walking into.
