This is exactly what I think. You need much more variety and a stratetic game plan to win a match on top level as you don't have thath deciding strengths like welsh's angles, rabaris powershots or kellys volleys which allow you to easily make a point.

I agree with you man, I don't think it's fun to play Welch or Rabary all the time either, that's why I would like a SIM tour that's fun for everyone and not only for some people..

Because yes there is more veriety in SIM, problem is what kind of variety.. you can walk trough to the net at the worst time possible and still get away with it. When in trouble you can always play the weak side.. it's so one dimensional that I'm just bored after playnig 2 games, when I'm not motivated there's no use to play a tour.. You all probably got used to this and don't know better anymore..

This is why I would like a new balanced tour, with some higher stats, and distinctive playstyles. Where in this SIM the playstyles are no more than "guide lines" like djarvik said, I would like to see 4 real Offensive baseliners, Allround players etc.. A more regular tour based tour but than without the mutants (and with realistic, balanced setups) so everyone can choose his style. It's a shame I'm the only one realizing how awesome SIM tour could become. Now there are only about 3/4 attractive setups, I would love to see 16 attractive setups (4 for each playstyle). I could develop an awesome SIM tour (the way I think it should be) in a day.

Sim tour is successful only for players who have mastered control shots.. Sim tour is not for Power players  I think in-game pro-players tour can serve the same purpose as sim tour.. In pro-tour we can choose the player with the setup we like and in my opinion pro-player tour will be more interesting and competitive than sim tour.. There won't be need for any sim tour if we have pro tour

Why not add gold coaches with the sim players. That way the players will be a little better and the game will be faster as well. I understand that the sim tour is all about outfoxing your opponent. But sometimes you just want to end points quikly but with the stats of the players now its very unlikely. In Topspin 3 we also had sim players with stats higher than we have right now.
I'm still supporting the sim tour tho, but a little more speed will help a lot.

I also agree with ali. When i saw the tournaments for pro players,i thought it was a excellent idea. it was very interesting and very competitive. you had everything there. Long rallies, short points, you could come to the net more, better serves and it was very tactical. A return of the pro player tour would be nice too.

Yes maybe a sim tour with gold coaches but to restrict the level to 18 or something like that will be a good option
