It's this time of year again guys. Can you smell the clay in the air?
This year we are going to do Grand Slams a little bit different. We are opening sign-up early and we are going to split the sign-ups into two categories/groups:
First group: Players ranked 1-80 will be granted a direct access into the main draw.
Second Group: Players ranked 81+ will not be guaranteed direct access and "may" have to play qualifying rounds (depending on sign-up total).

Remember, this sign-up will be treated as an "application" only and should your rank fall out of the category on the review day - you will be removed from sign-up by the host, of course with a PM notification. You can then either gain direct access to main draw if you rank went up or sign up into the second group and you may be required to play qualifying rounds.
We also plan to grant a number of Wild Cards to a few new players who mainly play in Future and Challenger events and have recently performed well. Amount of Wild Cards will be determined later and invitations will be sent to the grantees.

I love the idea of qualifying rounds though. Does this mean then that the qualifying draw will come out a week or few days before the actual main draw?
