To be honest the serves in this game (not just yours Sinna) seem to be overpowered. It seems to be much too easy to hit a really, really good serve.

On the flip side, his opponent in this video is not trying to give him a different look at ALL..! He's just standing there! Wtf is he doing  When I play a huge server in any tennis game and I'm starting to get aced a lot, I TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Move way out to the side....move up to the center...move way back...move forward...try something rather than just standing there and getting aced!

Also I'm a little disappointed with you guys cuz whenever Sinna posts these videos, all anybody can say is bad things about his playing...nothing like "Hey thanks for the video", blahblahblah..i mean it just seems kinda rude.

Are oyu laughing about me?
What should I do?
With flat returns and topspin returns my palyer mostly just didn't react, so I played slice and chaning position was not a way, because I will give him an open side to ace me. xD
Fighter on Court - Never gives a ball up

Looking for a challenge - Prefers to play and defeat stronger players.

i agree with you when i play a friendly match ,than i will too that my opponent have fun to play with me .
but generelly its not my job to bring fun to my opponent ,esspecially when i play a competition like WT .
its his thing to play a character what brings him fun.

I have to agree with Matthias a bit too.

Sure you want it to be fun, but let's not forget that ITST is also about competing. If your opponent is all smiles and giggles, you're probably doing something wrong.

I think the simplest idea for a game with a 'advanced serve mode' like this would be... You can't stick serve on a 2nd serve. There you have a instant drop in power, speed and spin. highly unlikely you will hit a ace with a button serve (realistic for 2nd's). Then you could also have a skill like "clutch server" which enables you to stick serve on your 2nd serve if you are break point down or something, or if too strict "iron serve" which means you can stick serve with both. You could give someone like sampras one of these example stats. meaning less room for serve berserker if they pick it.

I'm really hoping they fix that. I don't mind if really good serves are really hard to return; but it should be really hard to make those serves.

Hm maybe you are right in this Point but how should they implement that?

There are not many Possibilities with a simple Stick for Servicemovements.

But you could wait for the 2k Sports Top Spin 5 Wishlist Thread opened by Ronnie in 2 Years and then it's Time for all your big Wishes.

Because I really don think they change something like this so drastically like you want it to be. And if they would really implement a Service who is harder to perform they also have to explain this new Technique for example in a special Area in the Top Spin School.

I mean it's possible but I don't think so.

But one thing should be clear. Maybe it's harder to find the right Timing then for a while but they can't make it so hard that People won't be able to master it and so soon the People mastered it you will face the same Resulst like at the moment.

I don't know...he obviously has a huge serve, I don't really know what you should do

Sorry it just seemed to me like you could have tried changing positions a few times. I know this leaves court open, but against a huge serve sometimes it's the only thing you can do. Sorry I did not mean to laugh at you :)

yeah ,thats a good idear ,
when you miss the first serve ,than you can use only button serve for the second one!
thats really unrealistic that the 1st serve is identical with the 2 nd serve

The problem with that though is that Sinna hardly (ever?) missed a first serve. If you make it hard to hit, it's too risky to use as a second serve.

Ok maybe that's more realistic then than before but it's alss not really realistic that you can't hit your second Service with the same Power liek the first if you want.

And if you want it more realistic you could gte also on a real Court and hit your 30 mph Aces against a old woman.

I really like this Game how it is right now and if they improve something per Patch we will get used to it.

Yup. That was also the same in TS3. But if someone dosnt have such a big serve you can return the serve rather easy. And IF you time it well return it really good.

Yeah but that lays really in my Timingskills I would say at least. Because if you press the Directions to long or to short ýour Ball goes out or doesn't land so dangerous like it could be.

And my two Service Extraskills support my Timing and make it easier ofcourse. But otherwise you have to see then that I can't have all the other Skills in the Game which brings you a Advantage in the way they made for too.

It's not only all about serving in this Game and you should notice that while play the Game. This Video here is the best Prove.

Maybe a combination of the 2?

I did and it works also but this Service is just more imoressive ofcourse. But if I really want the best Service why shouldn't I use the best Possibilities?

I mean if your are searching for a way to get the best Forehand in the Game you would search for the best way too for example.

Or for the best Defense or whatever. You got your Extraskill and I have mine.

And by they way. This Character is for sure not the last I made and with that I will play forever. I am just making a more mixed Player for example. Still a Baseliner but not totally to the extreme. More in the defensive Baseline Direction with mixed offensive Baseline Levels.

Regarding the comments that his opponent seemed to just stand still:

I've noticed in online games I've played against characters with high serve ratings, even if I guess in the correct direction while receiving, about half the time my player stands still as if I didn't touch the stick at all.

Not sure if that's a glitch or something to do with the high serve speed but it also happens against AI opponents with high serve ratings, just not as often... so it's not likely to be a lag thing. It's VERY frustrating.
