eey guys, I don´t know if you tryed this: play returns croscourt with LT and topspin(inside out) and just straight ahead with LT and topspin if you know what I mean. I don´t know if you tryed this but it is something to help.

S&V is tricky to counter but usually mixing up returns helps. Most S&V's are usually aware of the position of their opponent before coming in. Use a flat hard down the line or a slice down the line return. Also using a short angled cross court every now and then. STAY AWAY FROM returning into the body. You WILL be punished for it. If your return is returned don't intially think lob...they'll be expecting that each time and you can expect the overhead. I played a guy yesterday in WT who had 98 serve and 100 volley. needless to say the outcome didn't go in my favor. I lost 2-4 3-4 but these tactics I mentioned helped me stay alive in most of his serve games.

i found out that the best tactic when returning for me is to really blow off a huge flat return when they hit flat serves, you either hit a return winner or get a weak volley. and when served outwide with a slice i try to hit a down the line high control topspin to pass them.

And when theyre at the net i found out that actually dropshotting gets some weak volleys out of them too.

When serving i try to serve and volley myself, with 50 volley and volley shot artist that is very possible. If you don't want to then the point has to end very quickly before the chip and charge.

I don't understand why s/v players can stand at the service line and get to almost every single ball. that's a little unrealistic. In reality the service line is no man's land and if you get caught there 9/10 you should be royally fooked.

Have you watched videos of pete sampras? He often gets his first volley at thr service line. The issue really for serve and volley is whether the first volley puts you in a good position or not to finish the point. This is true in real life and ingame. I believe its very realistic, against a good baseliner the question isnt whether ill get the first volley or not, I will. The question is whether I can hit a good enough volley to prevent the opponent from hitting a good passing shot.

dudes....if you come up against a good s/v player there is NO CHANCE....when they have 100 volley they never miss the volley...ha ha...the only thing i can say to do is hit the returns low and high...mix up the pace and the height of the ball...but i played a guy last night and i won the 2nd set but the third set super tie break was a complete blow out...they are like an unpassable wall that never miss a volley EVER

S&V is so janky post past; it should not take three or four cross court low top spin shots to set up a lob (lob is jacked-its too low and easy to smash) just to win one point. Im sorry but they messed up the s&v post patch it's by far the most annoying style to face. They're fricken walls who dink you out of position or force an error all they have to do is react. they don't even have to hit good vollies they just have to hit in the court, it's fricken lame. i hate it, sorry for the rant but in my opinion it's the only MAJOR flaw in this game.
