yeah we all should remember fed isn't a great volleyer lol. Good, and solid, and can finish there, but not amazing. come in on some weak balls and you will put away all day, but big rifle shot, you aren't gonna control

serve and volley will be a succesfull strategie in TS4 ,much more successfull than in TS3 (so far i can say this yet) it feels really great to play S+V in TS4.

to play serve and volley against CPU makes you nearly unbeatable hopefully S+V tactic is not to strong in multiplayer ,not that everyone is playing S+V because you have no chance with a baseliner against a S+V player ,but this the time will show .

S+V is definitifly a big aspect in TS4 .
i think we will see alot of serve/volley player

Yeah...I didn't start this one, so it is up to you guys. I think a minimum of Level 11 SV is a good rule.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

coming in with fed is still very effective it's just your approach shots need to be good and fed is not average at net he is very good at net or was between 2001-1007 because coming in then was very effective cos courts were quicker so he used his volleys more then in 08 onwards coming in often was not so effective im mean he won wimby in 03 serve volleying quite a bit i mean he aint mac, or edberg or sampras at net but he is not average those drop volleys half volleys he hits are not average shots or roddick who has a better serve than fed would hit them often fed just needs to use his volleys often pratice makes perfect , the same i came forward with fed often and it worked well as long as i came in on a good approach postioned myself well and hit the right volley

Yup very unfortunate, together we would have a great chance for a doubles career here in ITST.

I tried to S&V with Federer too in the demo but i was, um, pretty bad actually. I couldn't bring much power to any volleys actually, not to mention my first volley. Maybe playing with Sampras might lessen my volleytroubles

I am getting the game tomorrow, so i probably will be online on Saturdayevening, look me up if you want to humiliate a S&V'er
If i lose i have an excuse; volleying is different than in TS3

I think he's one of the best volleyers on the tour, just not amazing in the game, as compared to rafter, Becker etc.

Anyone else having trouble to chase down lobs? Can hardly get Rafter to even think about moving backwards.
