Proposal of a new important rule

Postby Painted Crystal » Mon, 02 Jul 2012 09:13

In my last match almost all of my opponents send a confirmation message or tell me when they are available the day before the deadline or the day of the deadline. I work and I have other things to do in my life besides playing Top spin and then I ask the staff if it were possible to have a rule that obligations to respond to your opponent with the date and time at least 2 days before the deadline.
The only always perfect guys to arrange the match are old members I played (ShoCase, Swifty, Shaggyng and Bkristian)

Thanks to the staff

I know what you mean. I hate it, when i arrange a date with my opponent and they are not there in time. But I don't see a possibillity to solve that. Not every player on ITST has a work to do, because they are at school or visit a university or whatever.....what means they have much more time than the "workers".

The problem is not the time you spend waiting for your opp but when your opp dont answer your pm and only answer the day before the deadline or the same day of the deadline.
An example: I sent 2 pm my opp (1 the same day of the draw and 1 after 2 days) in an tournment I m actually playing. Friday is the deadline, if tomorrow (the day before the deadline) or friday he says me when he can play and I cant what Ive to do?
Hosts can give me an answer?

if i had to make a decision because the deadline arrives and the match hasn't been played and with the info you have just posted then walkover would be for you.

PS: This is what i would do if i were hosting that tournament ( am i btw?? hahaha), so i'm not saying that your tournament host will make that decision.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Xavi Haaaa. Painted I understand what you are a saying and a good host will do the right thing.
Xavi got upset with me because I said he was 2 blame because Jai couldn't play his match. :)
To win is to achieve success. To compete and lose and try again is greatness

Same here. Unless, the PMs you sent said something like: "When can you play?" or "Can you play now?". In that case, I would probably make a no match.

Like the rules said I wrote days and hours, 3 possibility for my opp but my question is always the same: its possible have a rule to prevent a WO the last day?
WO is the wrost way to win, many players have a decent rank thanks some WO (like me for example) and I never want to say my opponent I cant play because he waked up too late and i ve others things to do the deadline day
