short cross court hits the most of the time ----> unsporty?

hi everyone

Just wanted to ask, if it's a cheesy tactic to play the whole time short cross hits with crazy angles.

In my opinion it is not like real tennis. Ok, it's just a game, but really frustrating. If someone master this kind of hits, then the whole fun playing this tennis game vanish.

Saw the result from a very good player here on ITST, quitting after just 3 games. Why? Because of the reason I wrote above. Short crosses en masse!

What do our ITST members think?

I searched a little bit without results in the forum.

Was a great feeling, that our ROGER was again Nr. 2, if only briefly.
So many errors playing against Djoker in the semi at Roma. =o/

Lol yes it is the reason I quitted excactly I could win for sure I felt I am the better player but I have no intention to play the game this way so I don't waste my time to it It's a shame but the top guns nower days don't play for realism and fun but only to win and they do everything (only short cross whole day) for this. these kind of play will definetely ruin the tour there should be a gentleman agreement among the top players to keep it realistic like it was before with likos, fabada zooloo etc, sadly this is now gone.

Just lets ban control shots.. That ll automatically eliminate short crosses from tour.. Although power shots can be used to get short crosses but they are not as worse as control shots and they don't affect the footwork of the player like control shots do

I got so tired of this game sometimes. I want to play only fair players and I get only unfair opponents. Shorts cross all the time so fun, people can't win a rally at a normal way so. And when I played this game for the very first time there was nobody that uses control shots. It'slow, it's crap and it's chit now everyone does, only Ali and a few other do the old skool stoff which is fun.

Well, i dont think short crosses are boring, i think its a part of the game, and its impossible to determine if someone uses it a lot or not.

First, it was Welch or extreme power players, now is short crosses. What's next.
@Dennie "I felt that im better player". Thats the same that some "top" player of itst said to me at the end of a match "if u dont use this i beat u in 2 sets". So beautiful words, it shows that he doesn't care about fun or realism, he cares about winning. My brother played some matches of itst too, but he lost to this guy with gallo extreme. U know what he said? GG "youre good".

I dont know u Dennie, but i expect u dont have the same hypocrite actitude. I enjoy all my mathces of itst, i dont kill my opponents 6060, because its not funny, just look at my results. Sometimes i complicate matches to make it more real. And ive been acused of destroying itst.[/list]

Lol yea I used to play power shots all the time. I learned control shots because I kept losing against the guys who bashed me always with control shots all the time. And personally I never like control shots but it's the way people have adopted to win soo you are also obliged to learn them

I used to say the same few months back. But like I said you are obliged to learn them to win against control shots player.. And guess what top guys like sh0case and fifa tee, Likos.. They are fair, no doubt about that but they use the same strategy in the matches.. Keep hitting high bounce top spins waiting for their opponent to hit flat shots so that they can hit short crosses.. Because short cross is difficult to hit against top spins so they force their opponents to hit flat shots soo that they can finish the points using control shots

I hardly play you Ali, today was our first ITST match too.
I can upload the video and you will see I did more flat shots than top spin shots..
I play nothing like Likos and there are clear differences between Fifa Tee and I too, we have completely different strategies.
The fact that we both prefer to use control shots is the only valid thing in your post.

I'm realising the PS3 tour is not even different to the Xbox tour.

You can't ban control shots although it would be good if you could. There is a certain Italian who I won't mention that cross courts ALL the time. It's extremely frustrating but sadly nothing can be done.

Who´s playing with Welch and Babb? You mean your or me? I never used babb and welch times is a long time ago.
