Had the weirdest glitch today

Postby Corbon » Sat, 24 Dec 2011 03:39

Second round Dubledon Open, was leading 5-0 in the first set, CPU to serve, all of a sudden the CPU was serving from the front and I was in the back. I could even move around in the background. Well the CPU proceeded to serve, hit the ball and it flew straight up at full speed and didn't come down again but it counted as an ace. Right after that the game froze and I had to leave it altogether. Crazy shit.

I have also had few occassions where the game would hang up while saving (that was before I enabled auto-save) and I once lost like half a year of game progress.

There's another weird glitch involving dresses. If I equip one my female characters with a certain dress (Elyan white) the racket bag during the intro where the players enter the court and wave to the crowd is not there. When I switch to a different dress colour (red for example) it will reappear.

I also have the feeling that switching clothes will alter facial features, just like one of those 10 skin shades. It's almost impossible to create a player you want to like 100%

Another (very minor) bug I have encoutered is that when you had a break point and the opponent defended it and after that serves a let (first service), the message "xxxx has defended 2 break points during the game" pops up. It does not seem to count towards overall break points in the match statistics though.

I get that glitch for my male character, even though I haven't changed his outfit for about 7 months.

I just had my first ever 6-6 in a 3rd set in a tournament (Toronto) and I wasn't expecting a ****ing tie-break. Why is there one in the final set, if you go through the tournament statistics, you'll see 3rd sets like 11-9 and 10-8 all the time.

Oh yeah, lost the game 6-7 (1-7), 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (7-9). I wish I was kidding.

We follow the ATP rules and as far as i know the tie-break is always used to decide the winner when the players reach the final set.

Exceptions to this rule:

Australian Open
Roland Garros
Wimbledon
Olympic Games
Davis Cup
Fed Cup

correct me if i'm wrong cause i haven't checked if this has changed.

That may be true but in the tournament statistics of all tournaments between CPU matchups you can see results like 7-5, 2-6, 16-14. Unless the final set shows the tie-break result but that's impossible to say because these results also appear in Grand Slam tournaments.

That's a super tiebreak score.
I've never played the career in anything except 'topspin' mode where it's to 3 games a set, but I can't imagine why they would play a 3rd set without a tiebreak.

Real score is just like regular Tennis, but best of 3 sets in every tournament, even ATP Slams. And it's a regular tie-break because the winner is always 2 points ahead. A super tie-break could be something like 10-5.

Just a little nagging but still much better than TS3 where you didn't even have the option to change it and had to stick with 3 point sets on the Pro Tour.
