Ban attributes exceeding 90? Poll. Vote please

Postby Ary1g » Wed, 21 Sep 2011 12:30

Hi

I don't want to be a whiner, but I want to hear what the pros and cons are about this subject. Also I'm adding a poll to see what you think.
I'm aware that this subject has been in a lot of other forum posts, but I haven't seen a poll about this yet. Please post a link here if this poll exists. Also it would be nice if an admin could delete this post if there already is a poll about this.

There's a post "realistic stats" which suggests that we limit the attributes to what the pro players have, which I also think is a great idea.

Personally I think it would have been great to limit attributes to under 90. With a attribute at 90, you still have a great attribute while not overpowered. I think all attributes pretty much becomes overpowered when exceeding 90. This site is for realism. If people want to play with attributes over 90 just play the world tour included in the game.

Also I'm aware that there is a sim tour. But I miss the opportunity to create and experiment in this tour.

At last one of the reasons I joined ITST was that I read an old post about TS3 where it was said that attributes must not exceed 85.

What do you think?

Im down with banning 90+, for the simple reason that allow players to do stupid kind of balls like with 90+ wings you can do stupid angles, with 90+ volleys all volleys even mistimeds are killers volleys, im not even gonna get started on 90+ power and serve and so on.

IMO the itst mgmt has put lots of wrk in a sim tour for exactly this reason. I don't thnk it is wise to tamper more with the norm tour unless sum thing glaringly obvious is wrng

Bro i know i´ve never played you before but i read on some posts that you used to abuse dropshots before and now you use the 98/98 build so

1: you´re kinda biased.

2: you´re not the fairest of players.

3: of course you gonna defend your build, but honestly would you have gotten to the US Open final if you used a different one???

I agree with you in some way. Yes, they have put a lot of work into the sim tour, but I still miss the freedom to create a character on your own. The sim tour would still be a very good and entertaining mode, because you can't use own players. So you are always aware of you opponent's player and what he can do.

At least maybe regulate certain attributes. Like the power attribute and volley. The ones that has got the most complaints as of my knowledge.

Really, the normal tour is like world tour just a bit deeper in terms of longer matches, more organization and some rules concerning cheesy tactics in my opinion. I think we will get more interesting player builds with attribute regulations.

I agree with this, Sim Tour wont lose its purpose, no way!
if we have sim tour , it doesn't mean reg tour should be as cheesy as it gets, we can moderate it a bit better so its more enjoyable as well.
you can still create your own player , and 90 is seriously enough:)) i mean over 90 is not even that necessary and it usually make the game cheesy .

all 90+ skills are very hard to play against, it would be in anyones favour to ban it and it would also make itst more exclusive. But I would ban everything above 91 becouse of some realistic and playable setups. This poll sais it all 11 guys agree only 3 disagree (probably guys who play with these setups)

I play 91 FH but i still voted Yes, cause it would be way more fair and skill based, less about the coach you use, or how overpowered your build is.

i agree for a limitation too, around 90 but that should not prevent ppl from using welch. i dont use him but i dont think he s OP and if we remove him there wont be many dfcs anymore, wouldnt be good for variety

Yeah like someone said i use Welch, but if there was a 90 rule i would do 18/2 with 86 FH BH, but with this new update im planning to make a 15-5 rabari to see how it plays.

Nice to see that there are many people sharing my opinion.
When it comes to specific coaches, I think that as long as your player is under 90/91, you can use any coach except the already banned coaches.

Now I'm wondering what it takes for this ban to take effect?
Obviously more people must agree to this I know, but can anyone tell us some more about the process?

Thanks for all replies.

I think every attribute should be limited. I don't think it would be fair to only limit a few attributes. If there is going to be a 90+ attribute ban, I think that it should include all attributes.
