I just lost all my game data...

Postby JJ_DUBZ_87 » Sun, 27 Mar 2011 23:07

It was loading a character select screen, then I accepted an invite to play my warm-up tournament match. My system completely freezes and I make the mistake of resetting it.

Now I have no created characters or game achievements anymore. I have to start completely from scratch.

 this is disappointing... I'm pissed lol

It was a poor decision on 2K's part to have characters stored client side. Not only is that how the >100 stats are possible but also this problem. All game developers should know by now that any game with multiplayer advancement should be stored server side.

Agreed!! Now I'm going to back up my game file on a USB stick :( it's sad this had to happen though for me to do that.

You could get a datafile from someone else, so you don't have to go through the career again.

I didn't actually complete the career...just got far enough to get star status on my lady player and unlock the quick creator.

It's fine I have a free day tomorrow so I'll play all day lol

Yeah, I meant the Fast Player Builder. Don't think many of us have completed the career yet. I'm trying on very hard, but it's so hard to win a masters tournament.

Guess WTA is way easier than ATP :P

Nah, I lost some will to actually complete the career after losing to Simon in a Masters tournament, despite leading comfortably 3-0 2-0...

LOL from what I've seen it is :P ...I'll use my dude though and tell you how it goes. What helped me too was on the deuce side, I would serve up the tee every time and 98% of them would be aces lol...made my service games a breeze!

I know, although against lefties it's usually the ad-side. But still... Simon is doable, but then I run into a Fed/Nadal/Djokovic...

Yeah the men's side has WAY more depth. I like how different guys win titles during the year too. On the women's side it's either Serena or Wozniacki. Sometimes Safina wins but I always spank her when we play.

I really want to give the men's career a swing now. You play SV I'm assuming... I'm sure that makes it a tad more difficult yeah?

Yes, especially against the big returners. I do have 6 levels of defensive baseliner to go with it though, makes me quick for the return games. As a result my power is only 47 though :D 1st time against a pro was vs. Blake, got blasted away.
