Most common mistakes you make

Postby BalkanPower » Wed, 23 Mar 2011 10:18

Hey guys,

what are the most common mistakes you make during a match?

I have the tendency to press and hold A immediately after serving. Because of that I play a flat shot when another shot would be better. But I somehow get wrong footed easier cause once pressing the shot button it seems hard to change direction fast.

I also somtimes hold down on the directional pad to long, making my player move down, when my intention was not to move the player, but to hit a short ball.

Also my own reflexes frustrate me....when for instance the oppenent plays the ball to my left, my reflex is to go right for a fraction for a second before pressing left.

What things do you guys have when playing?

Timing is the biggest issue for me. So many times I get into as winning position in a rally and then mis-time my 'big' shot and it either lets the opponent off the hook or, even worse, sets them up to hit a winner.

Serving is also too inconsistent. The other day I was disappointed if I didn't hit more than three aces in a match. Last night I served three all evening. And about four double faults.

my issue is going to the right and the ball is coming to my left, just for a second, idk what the hell that is and why i do, anticipating too much i guess.
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

You can try to change the camera angle to TV CLOSE. I did that yesterday and I find it easier to position myself and read the play. In short, the court sense is better.

I press just too often the wrong button when I am under pressure. A when it should be B and B when it should A or X.

And lately a lot of double faults :?

I go for the power shot way too often. Lots of times im already charging up for a power shot and i see that a control shot should have been played.

Just need some more experience i guess.

Serve is annoying, but I'm managing more and more aces with my 60 serve/ 63 power guy:)

those damn things take practice, cause the serve doesn't always listen to the input it seems:)

Well the most common mistake for me is when i'm rushing through the replay after a point and I spam my "A" button to skip it, but it goes through to the serve and I dink a weak serve over. ):

I always let other people press through the replay :P. But it does happen to me in the singleplayer.

my biggest mistake is that i lose points . (joking)

NO,my most happens mistake is that i come to late in position ,to hit a hard shot , where it is normally better to hit a präzise timed shot .
as result i play just a normal weak shot .
i hope i can change this soon
