Any improvements?

Postby njgjoker » Thu, 17 Mar 2011 13:43

Has anybody with the game noticed any improvements over the demo? If so what are they? I felt that there were some things that were a bit rough around the edges with the demo.

By rough around the edges, you mean what?

Just a little bit untidy, but i guess all demos never look as good as the finished game

Not being a smart ass, would like to know, specifically, what you felt was lacking in the demo?

Full disclosure, I tend to be very critical at least initially. I agree with u, I felt the demo was a little rough around the edges, for example when the players are in the hall and about to enter the stadium each would have the exact same facial movement and expression no matter which player u chose. Also when the players approach the net after the match they have the same mannerisms, with the women moving the same, very masculine, as the men. I know pointing this out is knit picking but still, I definitely noticed it.

I find the full game to be the same. Game play is exactly the same, nothing new. The lack of dpad support is troubling. Of course there are more menu options than in the demo.

Saying all that, I do find the game to be more realistic than TS3 especially the PS3 version which spoils u with incredibly smooth movement that allowed for amazing precision and placement of all ur shots. TS4 is much like playing a match u would see on television, every shot won't hit the line. It is also much easier to be wrong footed and force errors. I have also found in career mode certain realistic scenarios seem to happen like when facing the same opponent for the third time he was much more difficult to defeat. Or how sometimes u will be completely out matched as far as stats every once in a while.

Overall I definitely have issues with TS4, but find it somewhat refreshing and think it might grow on me pretty soon.

You'll come around, no worries.

.... and I find the buttons to be much more sensitive in the full version. A LOT of my mistimed shots are going out. This rarely, if ever happened in the demo.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

You said, especially the PS3 version. Have you played the 360? Are there any differences?

Yes, I got an Xbox 360 just to try TS3 and was very disappointed, thank goodness for Costco generous return policy!!!

The Xbox version had very different movement, which affected gameplay for me a lot. The PS3 TS3 has very smooth and seamless moving, while I found Xbox to be jerky in comparison.

But I think Xbox players will have an easier time adjusting to TS4, because the movement is somewhat similar.
