Is the D-pad Supported?

Is the D-pad supported? It didn't seem to work in the demo. I kinda feel like developers are taking out D-pad support because the 360 d-pad sucks so bad.

It's too bad a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, I love the PS3 d-pad, that would certainly be a deciding factor if it was supported in favor of the PS3.
