Well I concede that I am coming at it from a rather shallow perspective & my complaint comes mostly from my offline play where playing the AI has suddenly become a lengthy & sluggish experience..... of course no one knows better than me that the ITST needs a game that will last for its members & I respect 2K's risk taking approach, which does help this tour aswell as catering for the world rather than just our members & more specifically me & my offline play!

I guess overall I don't know the game deep enough to fully appreciate all the little skills etc that most of you guys know about.....I wish I had more time to get back into it like I used to.

Anyway I suppose my ultimate frustration comes from being completely useless (even against the AI) at TS4!!! :P

Thanks for putting me in my place!

Actually, i take all of this back. I should not be making assumptions like this with just WT players as my source.
Played my first itst match with my new defensive player and got blitzed 6-1 6-0  Took around 5 minutes too. Power still rules. I don't know what else I can do to try and improve but really getting truly sick of losing every single itst match I play at this stage. I'm tarnishing my ts3 history :(

That's the point!!! You got it!!

When the patch came out, i first tried it Offline...

Before the patch i won easily in Very Hard difficulty, and also on Expert but with more difficulties...

After the patch i lost 4 consecutive games against Murray!!! I practiced a little bit, and now i win matches like before.

It's only practicing a little ;) (not too much for me, i don't become a nerd after the patch lol)

I like the update. Increased errors on difficult shots make the game more realistic.

No doubt. You've been pretty good at every other tennis game, so I don't see why this will be any different.

Just make sure you don't pre-press. It seems to be pointless now, and only limits your options.

I pre-press a lot of the time.

But I am getting much much better with control shots so I only really pre-press if I know I'm gonna have time to wind up..which, with the update, you can kind of do now. Like you said you can guess what's gonna happen now more based on percentages, rather than just the other guy's habits.

I know almost for 100% certain if I hit a super deep cross court topspin in the corner, the other guy is not going to be able to do jackSHIT with it. It's a good feeling.

i just think if u don't hit a good shot or perfect shot 80% of the time you should make an error, and you shouldn't be able to run faster than the ball lol... that i think then would make the game better... be real cool then

Is odd, but somehow I got the feeling that everything has changed again!!!

1.) Rare long rallies
2.) i can make Winner
3.) I and my opponent does not get to every ball

Has 2K the patch taken back without telling us?

Or I am just used to the patch?

Now i disagree. Just played Falcon01 in WS... Ok there was a TERRIBLE lag and i cut after 1 set, but it was still almost impossible to hit winner s from the baseline (on grass!!!).

If it still like it is, you have to fit in minimum 1 hour for playing 2 sets...3 sets should went longer, and 4 or 5 can be 90-120 minutes.

I don't mind long matches, I mean...tennis matches are generally 1-3 hours in length.

The 'Amazings' and I played a 5 set doubles match in TS2 that lasted easily 2 hours, maybe a little longer.

Maybe i exaggerated about 50 rallies but i was not timing the control shots that well thanks to 360 stupid control pads just tried another make by madcatz which is alot better for me, but seriously something needs to be done about 360 official control pads they're break so easy  unless it's just me being heavy handed lol the patch is not that bad i guess

after losing 80% of the matches the first 2 days after the patch, i switched from my more defensiv stats to offense, and "tada", now im winning 80% on the WT. Nevertheless, good played S&V is my nemesis. every style played in perfection can win of course, but in my experience, S&V has to much benefits now, even from the baseline.

I played Wozniacki again with Kvitova on expert and it was much more balanced, me winning 6-2, 7-5. I figured out how to hit those same angles, I just realized, they're only hittable from offensive positions and I like that. I thought they were just gone altogether, but now I just need to work harder to get them AND the computer can no longer run me outside the doubles alley from anywhere in the court. I still believe they could work a little harder at wrong-footing ability.

Sidenote: I just played an online match with someone who's power was 100! Is this a glitch? Because it was a girl and she hit serves in the 130s...

No.. I just made her on it, but she's actually pretty realistic imo.
Did they add DLC to Top Spin 4??

Has anyone tried using the Snezlana Slavina coach against a S&V player?
