targon12 wrote:What are the "Cheesers" gonna do without their precious "Risk-Shot"? Your gonna lose thats what. Let's face it most of these guys have no strategy without the Risk-Shot". They rely on the Risk-Shot" return of serve every point (must not be very risky if you do it every point is it?). Now what? You must now roll up your sleeves and play tennis. That means working the point, setting up your next shot, you know, STRAGEDY. Sorry you wont be able to swing with all your might at every 135 mph serve you get (which was totally dumb and unrealistic in the first place). Looks like your gonna have to learn to play tennis now and not just get good at pressing 1 button. Appearantly the people at 2ksports also realized how stupid it was to have a 250 mph risk shot in the game so they took it out. I have to admit most of the "Cheesers" i played on TS3 couldnt win a point unless they used the risk-shot. Can you really swing with all your might at an Roddick 135 mph serve? Of course not even the top pros have to block the return and just try to get it in play. They are not stupid enough to try to swing with all their might on service return cause if they did they would probably lose love and love. I look forward to a more realistic challenge of tennis stategies instead of a retarded match of unrealistic risk-shots in combination with a turbo controller. You cheeser thought you were hot stuff, now lets see if you developed any real tennis skills or just always relied on the short-cut risk-shot to win points.

TS3 risk player are cheeser ?
thats the most stupid thing i ever heared!!
however ,this comes mostly from player where are to stupid to play risk ,or where have simply not the skill to handle risk shots!!

i will not go deeper inside , only this ........ stopp whining ,got some balls and accept that you have simply not the skill to handle risk !!

Well I for one am sad to see the risk shots completely done way with and I doubt anyone who has played me in TS3 would regard me as a "risk monkey", despite using risk shots very often. In fact, my finger barely left the lt button, but I would also only average around 15 winners a match. Not everyone who used risk shots was looking for a quick and easy winner. It actually required a lot of skill and the ability to read play to use lt effectively IMO. The only risk I didn't like was constant risk returns but then of course I would say that as my serve is crap and would always be punished against the best players lol

Totally agree. there should be one risk button for a 'all or nothing shot'. where regardless of timing in some situations you use it even with perfect timing it will not go in. It would be low success percentage to stop abuse, say 1/15 regardless of timing but hey thats better than nothing if you have almost certainly lost the point. You wouldnt be able to use it on returns either. However if you pull it off you almost certainly win the point.

examples of what i would classify as all or nothing shots:-

a good few of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcOhYaSM2lA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs25WgRn ... re=related

kind of hard to explain. This wouldnt be like a usual play (well some fools could try and have boring matches, but have 90 UE's in a match) but like a desperate shot but if it comes off makes some proper WTF amazing! moments.

It could work like if you use the all-or-nothing button, say for eamples sake L2, you would need perfect timing to even have a chance of making it in, and even then the computer randomly decides with a propbability of 1/10 if it lands in or not. I know it might not sound even worth it haha but what would you think about a idea similar?
