I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "Treyarch started it"? Do you mean the CoD franchise? Because IW made CoD 1, 2 and MW 1 and 2. Treyarch came in and made CoD3 and WaW.

But this is all off topic. Maybe the TS-series can benefit from a different dev. Who knows...

This is what scares me a bit. What if 2k goes on and makes TS4 without PAM? To me, that seems to be something that's leaning towards a crappy game. If it's the other way around, I'm nothing but pleased.

I wouldn't know. It's just that when a game-series chenges devs it's rarely a good thing. For instance,the CoD-games made by Treyarch have always been inferior to the IW developed games, even if the gap has been reduced.

Such a shame that IW got screwed really bad this year.

They do the odd numbered games (who knows what happens now with all the problems between Activision and IW) but they were brought in after the success of CoD2. IW wanted to do MW even earlier and CoD2 was originally intended to be MW but Microsoft really wanted a WWII game for the release of the 360. So they made CoD2, but after that they went on to make the MW games. But there was still money in the WWII-games so Activision got Treyarch to keep doing those games.

If I got something wrong, please correct me. But as far as I know, this is how the story goes.

21 people (the 2 who got screwed and 19 others) from IW formed respawn.

The remaining IW team is working on MW3, sledgehammer is working on an announced COD game and treyarch is working on the next COD edition

Someone on the Xbox forums has told that 2k is indeed working on TS4. This guy is usually well informed so the information seems to be genuine. But thats everything known about TS4.
