Wow!!! I didn't realize how many people are against the challenge system.

You all may have very valid points, but at the end of the day it's still a game representing the real thing ... So why not have it thrown in there to mix things up a bit :)

Add me to the tally of "against" the shot spots. There will be nothing more annoying than a challenge going randomly against me when I play Norberto in Roland Garros final. I would flip out.

We rely on computers to NOT make mistakes, and here we asking they should do it purposefully? :? naaahhh, I pass.

in SCT3 for 360 they had the challenge system lol!!! The AI would call a ball out that landed on the line, or vice versa... it was fun offline, but online I'm sure it'd give me a headache...

You could turn them off in SCT3 but the computer still made bad line calls. So it was even more annoying with challenges turned off.

If it was the Roland Garros final the challenge would FOR SURE not go against you...you don't know the curse...?

Yeah i ready it.... it was funny!!! "...bathroom breaks, people streaking"

I still think it would be a nice addition to the game....
I think people are just making it out to be too serious... it's a challenge, thats all!!!

And I agree with what a lot of other people are saying, if you don't like it... turn it off, but an option for people who do like it and can keep it on.

The thing is... Challenges are a part of the game today... they weren't before.. but everything changes in the game... Tennis isn't the same as it was many many years ago... technology today wasn't available then so I say we should embrace that technology. :)

The way i see it, challenges are apart of the game today, because we have people judging the lines. And people make mistakes so sometimes they have to be checked.

Computers however do not make mistakes, so why do we need to check them?

Ohhh if that was true..... computers that don't make mistakes!!! hahahaha

I will ask EVERY Top Spin player that reads this....
How many of you have SEEN a ball go out or was in and called out and for a split second you actually thought you would challenge it?

I know I have on more than one occasion....and I am not just saying that.

Not me, it was extremely rare to see a ball on/very close to the line in TS3 except for excellent serves.

^^ This.

I thought the whole point of computers is that they dont mistakes.

here is the irony: Don't they use computer for a Shot Spot to check if people made a mistake?
