yeah sidespin would be a cool addition but right now thats just a detail. We can talk about it when they'll be close of doing almost everything else right.
They already improved topspin shots which now really looks like topspin shots. That is a welcome improvement from ts3.

yes agreed the top spin shots look perfect.............but why are you lot so easy on 2K, as if they are primary school coders?

Football (soccer) games have depicted top spin in the flight of a football (soccer ball hehe) for 10 years now.

But yeah, well done 2K, u have finally nailed top spin.

And your game is called:---

TOP SPIN

Notice how we didn't really get a decent football game in terms of gameplay till abou '08?? If 2K nail the gameplay here, we might have the perfect recreation in a couple of years. Also, there are many more variables to take into account with tennis ball physics compared to football physics, and even in the newest games, the sidespin on the football sometimes seems off.

I would very much welcome the introduction of sidespin and wind which affects gameplay(which, btw, isn't in any football games ;) ), I think it should be overlooked the now. After all, it is a game and the small matter of making it play well should be the primary objective.

Now, for the time being, go practice your banana shots and have them affected by wind on a real court, like I do myself.

Decent game of football before 08? You're havin a laugh. Top spin ball physics don't bother me that much but other sport games pretty goddamn far in front of top spin in terms of physics and animation.

I disagree. The Animations in TS4 are great and the Physics are absolutely accaptable too.

Top Spin don't need to hide before other Sportgames to date if you take a Look at TS4 and I know the newest Soccergames for example because I got PES 2011 and FIFA 11 at home for PS3.

Ofocurse it woud be cool for the Series if every Pro really had his own Animations in full Range like in real Life, but the Animations itself are good.

Comparing soccer games with tennis games is not really fair.

It is the 4th Top Spin game god damn it!

How many FIFA? How many PES, and even ISS/Wining Eleven before that?
Can you compare the sales of a single soccer game with the sales of even all tennis games?
Do you realise the budget for these big soccer games?
Can you imagine how many people are working on them compared to 2K Czech on TS?

Now you got your answer. We are not that easy on 2K, we just don't live in Disney Land. So we are happy that at least they improve the game with ts3 and now ts4. They go in the right direction so we apreciate that. There are tons of details that they could put in the game but at least we like the fact that they deliver a good tennis game that plays well and that we have fun with.

Yeah that's all that matters...putting together even a halfway decent video game is incredibly difficult, it's kinda hard for me to be too hard on the makers of a game unless it's completely terrible.

Amen! Just take a look the TS4 Rallyes in a Video. They improved it alot. I am always astonished how real the Game feels and looks now and that's no overstatement. That are just my Thoughts about TS4.

Some Guys said Top Spin 4 is a Cross between TS3 and VT3 becaue they simplified the Controls and made them easier to pick up and play but everybody who realizes the overall Depth which is in the Game knows how good it really is and how good the Developers made their Job with this Part.

Top Spin 4 will a attrackt alot of People which didn't became warm with TS3 and I can already say that I am one of these Guys after playing the Demo, all Dev Diaries I have read, after the ITST Interview, the countless Previews I saw and the Videos.

I'm talking current and previos gen(ps2/xbox). There always major shortcomings in a lot of them. Football games(well fifa, last pro evo i played was good, but felt last gen in terms fluidity. It just felt too 'square' compared to fifa) recently have been more all-around, and have fewer shortcomings that i can see. granted i havent played fifa as much since 09 version, but still...

I agree with tenjin also, btw

BTW Did somebody of you hit a Tweener yet?

You know the Hit where you hit the ball backwards through the Legs generally called a Trickshot.

I did it once in over 30 Matches 2 Matches ago with Federer. Haha so cool the Game.

I'd also hit a Backhandsmash with Federer in my over 30 Matches but only once. So you see these Shots are really rarely possible ín Top Spin 4. Like in real Tennis you don't see such a Shot every Match.

I'm having a hard time hitting a flat big serve with the stick. With Federer I hit around 110mph at best, but I might not even get it over the net at most attempts. Also, I end up hitting topspin or slices serves when I'm actually going for a flat serve. The same problems appear when playing Serena (serve 80). In TS3 I could hit this flat stick serve consistently but now I'm really struggling.
