Most of the best games - especially sports games - have uncomplicated, straight-forward controls. 2K is DEFINITELY on the right track.

I agree completely. The ea nhl-series is a great example of this. I have a great feeling about TS4.

http://zoknowsgaming.com/2011/02/05/top ... ayer-mode/

The team over at 2K Sports has just hit us up with a brand new developer diary in which they detail a new multiplayer gameplay mode, King Of The Court. King of the Court mode allows 1 to 4 players to compete both online and offline in quick matches that go to a pre-determined amount of points. At the end of each match, the loser leaves the court and a new challenger tries to defeat the winner. Matches are played one after another until either a player has won a certain amount of matches or a certain amount of matches have been played, at which time a King of the Court is declared.

This is what you play for

Now a lot of you are like that is new but we can tell your not impressed, well don’t worry because that’s not all. In addition to the standard King of the Court settings, they wanted to give gamers the ability to tweak game options and give them the power to create their own style of King of the Court. Some of the King of the Court customizable settings include:

The players (pros, legends or created players)
The duration of each match
The game mode’s ending condition
The court
The number of CPU players involved in the King of the Court (and also their AI level)

I think king of the court look and sounds like a nice idea, but i can categorically confirm that i will play it probably about twice. It might be "fun", but any tennis fan knows tiebreaks are pretty much a crapshoot, in real life the dominant servers usually wins, save for some stellar returns or big risk winners to get some minibreaks, thus it is no real measure of skill.

4 console doubles however.... 6 games, 3/5 sets against top drawer ITST competition, now thats something ill go back to again and again.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

the game looks cool for sure, but i find it strange that almost nobody here notice the lack of important signature moves... Agassi: forehand and serve is way off, same for Sampras and lots of other players. I understand that it may be hard to program a game with everyone signature movesets that requires thousands motion captures (huh really?) but still... So far i dont see many more sig moves than in TS3. For now i think the stances of most of them look good but the sig shot don't seem to be such a huge improvement.
The Becker backhand smash is nothing special, this animation was already in TS3...
