Something I noticed, no ball bouncing before the serve? :|

Yeah but you have to think about her Physics in real Life. This Woman could break your neck so trong she was sometimes. Put Rafa besides Serena and look at their Physics. This Woman is really powerfull and Ana isn't in the Game or? I mean I didn't use Ana or saw her with the CPU on a higher Difficulty.

But anyway I got no Problem if they Made the Women strong as the Mens in some Cases. I find it funny. :D

just played first time yesterday. lost to Serena because I kept doing controls that are non-existent. beat Rafa with Fed easily. The game is maybe not what I was expecting. It seems a little too simple but if that means more players than I'm all for it. I got bored after only 2 matches though.

Wait Will, player VS player should be way more fun! ... it was kinda the same for me in TS3, I was simply getting bored out of my mind playing AI.

The difference between playing a real life person and AI is so drastic, it is a complete different game.

I can't stomach playing AI, not even for a single match. That's why I HATE HATE HATE career mode - and building characters. :x

I couldnt agree more. If it was only for offline play i would have played TS3 only for a few weeks at most because i got bored pretty quickly. In fact i only "discovered" ITST in sep 2009 (the game was taking dust) and i am playing at least once a week since then!

TS4 wont be any different, once we figure the "patterns" of the AI it'll get old fast. That's one of the reason i hope we can decide ourselves how many games and sets we have to play during career. I may want to play it like in reality once but i guess i would prefer to quickly breeze through to unlock everything and concentrate on itst and on-line matches.

I won't play the demo anymore. It is just not fun at all. My pre-order gets here the 22nd. I'll see if what you say is true. I'm kinda missing the risk right now but whatev.

Same here. I'm putting everything on the lowest setting so I can quickly unlock as many things as possible (different coaches, swing/serve/etc animations, clothing, etc), create the character I really want since I'll have more coaches available, and then head straight to playing people online.

I'm a bit shock right now

What's the difficulty setting?

hard.
you don't miss a **** shot it doesn't matter if you hit the ball "too late", "too easy", "perfect", anyway i guess it's still too soon to judge the game.
One thing is sure, it'll be more popular than TS3 cause it's more easy for beginners
i;ve misssed a backhand down line shots with fed you can miss but it happens when you make bad shot selection or your not in the right position to hit the shot you want

i am very surprised by the "result".... it is different but somehow is almost the same.

It is very strange that in 4 matches i only made one unforced error while playing very agressively. It feels like its impossible to miss a shot... you could make unforced errors in TS3 without even using the triggers... in TS4 its like you can use triggers on all your shots without unforced errors!
Is that the "more accessible" side of the story? Bummer. But it may still be closely tied with the fatigue system (that you cant really feel in a tie-break only) so we'll see that in the full game.

The players feel heavy in the good sense of the word but also in the bad sense. reaching short balls is a nightmare but as you cant miss your shots it's no big deal, just not beautiful tennis (like in the vids we saw).

I liked Nadal and his animations. The sound of the crowd has a lot improved for sure but it still lacks LOTS of variety.

The serve is another weird one. I tried to miss the first serve without success!!! It is strange... also the player doesnt hit the ball on the floor before serving and i thought there would be a button to do it (like in older smash court tennis games) but i couldnt find it. The player stands still like a statue.

The AI sucks big time, as we thought. It is very easy to beat even on "hard". BTW in doubles it seems you can chose level of difficulty of every AI players independently. That's cool.

The controlled shots didnt look all that useful... you can charge every shot it is more efficient. My guess is that the game is not that balanced and that powerful players will always be better than defense characters (cant say about volley yet).

I know i sound negative but i still enjoy playing it for what it is... maybe the points i mentioned wont be relevant in the full game. I don't mind that much if not everything has improved, but i would be very disapointed if some things were better in TS3...

More impressions later.
you probably made good shot selection cos it you dnt you can miss i have missed a few bh up the line shots with fed and missed shot going for broke when out of position and when the ai or your player gets tired ur are susceptible to making errors

well after more matches i still feel the same about unforced errors. I just played a few of tiebreaks only using charged shots and won each time between 7-0 and 7-2 on hard. For now i feel like positioning your character is even easier than in TS3, here you only have to have good timing to hit the ball, the player seems to position itself in the good spot when you are close to the ball no matter what you do... i even tried to move away from the ball to be in bad position on purpose but without success.

By the way i LOVE the inside out trigger shot! this is very cool.

My Hauppauge HD PVR came per Post today and now I have the real Equipment to record good.

What you think? :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZzB41IpVH0

I will record many Matches so soon TS4 ist out so maybe you will see yourself in one of my Videos by defeating me or losing against me.

I am still a lil bit newbish sometimes, but it's a new Game and we'll all need our Time.

In this Video I make two Aces and Rafa surprised me with two too. I stood a lil bit crappy and was surprised because the CPU doesn't kick such Serves always. A unforced Error from me is in too.
