I think eventhough many setups might seem overpowered if used by certain players, the difference between super-power setups (100 or 98 power) and Welch-setups is, that Welch setups need a bit more skill to be successful with (I think so cause a REALLY perfect (perfect is NOT perfect) controll shot is most probably the best shot possible, better than a power shot, but a less well executed controll can REALLY suck, while a power shot (if only the character's power is high enough) won't ever be that bad). I am not sure about it, but I think if it would be possible to master the game 100%, using Welch would be most effective, while I think that anything, that doesn't at least come close to having mastered the game, favours the use of high power guys.

welch players are certainly the toughest to play against, but there is a way to beat them :) think about what they lack and execute

A 40-90 rule for attributes would be good for the tour.
I didn't realise there was one for TS3, why was this abandoned for TS4?

Good idea

I like the idea of Lokisharpshotr, because the extreme "Arcade" Setups are not possible. It needs awesome skills to beat one of that setups - i dont have them. But i love to play TS4 against good players even if they destroy me - if a opponent is better this is no problem. But with Volley 100 the player just moves to the net at the craziest moments and can earn direct winners. Also the 98/98 combination allows incredible services, way too fast and exact for a normal reaction. With that setups there is no need to be the better player. I feel totally demotivated playing such opponents and that reduces my fun playing that game dramaticly.
Sure we have the Sim tour, but i think the "normal" tour should not be a "Arcade" Tour.... :?

ah it's the same in real life tennis is it not?
a power server you just have to guess what side there going to go for and where you have to stand. but in the game you have to NAIL the return.. atleast get a GOOD..! It's there set-up and serve so you do have to work your ass a little bit to counter it.
I know it sucks and automatically think that it's a 'lil unfair but if you opponent want's or feel the need to hide behind a coaches abilities then that's thier perogative....... Win some lose some against them but hey -ho lol...

Karlovic is a cheater! Serves too fast!

Seriously, the biggest peeve I have with the game is the absolutely unrealistic serve & volleying. I mean in real life you can do a wide top spin serve at only 150 km/h which gives ample time to rush to the net but in real life you don't have the ability to pull it off every damn time and you don't have the volleying ability as in TS4 where 80+ volley stats are retardedly powerful, so powerful that when you think you've hit the perfect long line flat, your opponent at the net stretches out by a mile and puts a smooth as silk drop shot right behind the net.

ohh i feel you dude.... But - with the Serve and Volleying is not too hard to counter now since 2k actually made that realistic and took out Dr Who's teleporting device. - and (another BUT) i have seen in the last couple of weeks when iv'e been online, matched with a copius amount of Serve Stick Beserkers who are playing control AND netplay... which is by far soo unrealistic with the stats.... THERES JUST NO DIFFERENCE IF THEY HAVE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SPEED, VOLLEY OR CONTROL AT ALL lol....

But you know what... if that's they way they want to play on World Tour TS4 then just let them... it's pant's for sure and their there only on to win some mediocre points and tournaments. Iv'e always though that the game was going to die out or lose it's glamour through these desperados who play it day in day out and know every kink of of the game but i suppose the only thing is to adapt... Sum1 play cheese... counter it with cheese lol....
AND.... also to remember... you cant win em all ..!
put yourself in for tournaments on here. i myself have only played one tournament but it is well better than World Tour...
