I think Babb vs Welch is a perfect power vs speed matchup. Strategy and skill should be the deciding factors in that match.

Avinash, be serious your whole setup is build around acing, what skill do you need to play like this??? where´s the fun, the respect for your opponent???

Face it man as long as you use that setup it will earn you 0 respect among the other players.

And what is skillful about 90+ strokes with welch?

Always the same argument … isner … karlovic… they dont hit an Easy 140mph serve when they Want, and then they are bad during rallies … so you cant compare.

You dont even use control shots with that build, you just keep on mashing and pre-pressing flat shots.

You say its not overpowered but supermassy just won the WS US Open 6-0 6-1 using one of those builds. 6-0, 6-1 not overpowered right???

Anyway, i´ve said everything i wanted to say about this matter.

To anyone who uses that build i challenge you to play me or play another tournament without that build, lets see how far you would go.

I agree.. 98/98 setups are unfair and unrealistic.. U can't do anything against it if your opponent who is using 98/98 setup is a good player and knows how to hit power shots right after that big serve... And offcourse 98/98 gives u an advantage to win the match over those guys who don't use 98/98 and also there is nothing skillful or strategic about 98/98 just an overpowered and unrealistic setup that most of the people know but are not willing to accept this fact..( mostly those who uses this 98/98 setup and are trying to defend their 98/98 setup).. Seriously 98/98 setup destroys all the fun in match.. Just aces aces aces that's all

I know man, and i stick by what i said, i challenge of one those crazy power noobs to change builds and face me, but they wont because they would get whooped and they know it.

We´re waiting for Avinash recording device to be delievered, then we will record the final, because all this talk matter little once everyone can see our match, then we´ll be able to judge how fair that build is.

I hv chkd with the capture card company in USA and they said that shipping cud take 2 weeks sadly. I don't wnt to delay the final so depending on wht djarvik and hosts decide I vl do.

Ideally it wud be grt so all itst members can enjoy the final...in case hosts decide that we shud not wait, loki can u play our final tomorrow or Sunday?

I vl try mean time to find anothr way, maybe can use cam corder.

what an insane thread.

this isn't even close, loki is going to win easliy. once you figure out avi's serve placement, he's easy to beat, he has no game aside from ace and power shot, i dont think he has ever used a control shot against me in probably 6 full sets of play. if loki doesn't fall over drunk before the match, it's gonna be a blowout and a somewhat disappointing final

i just beat avi 6-0 with my shot counter against his ir/cps...

please, please. enough of this, loki is gonna obliterate avi, i'd put the house on it.

Hi, it was a good final. I thnk both of us developed respect for each other during the 3 sets. No doubt Loki is the better plyr and I wish him all the best on his route to no.1.

I had to use iPad to rcrd the final and unfortn it only records each video for 49 minutes...so I vl upload to utube what I have. It goes until late in the 3rd set so got most of the final set.

Loki u must note that if I upload this video, ur competitors here will analyse ur game v carefulllly. R u ok with that?

Finally I want to thnk all hosts for a ranging the us open 2011. I rlly enjoyed it and will be back to defnd my loss next year lol
