I only hit from the backhand to be honest.
I use slice as a defensive stroke, It's stupid you can't use powerslice with ur fh, and also not done, like I said how are you able to know if he will hit for ur fh or bh?
That is exactly what we want to avoid Dennie, a power slice on defense from FH side. If you are on defense, then last thing you want to do is to press any button before seeing what shot is coming. Of course accidents mistakes happen....but you describing it as a strategy. Basically you saying that as soon as you realize you are on defense you quickly press and charge Slice button and have no choice of shot, even if it comes to FH side.
These power slices that land on the baseline while you are on full stretch is what we trying to avoid.

Then you gonna have to adjustmuch like a lot of other players.
The SIM game is slower then regular tour. I see no reason what so ever to pre-press and charge the slice on defense. If anything, you want to stay quick on your feet.
Why don't you just hit a control slice? ...this will get you a real defensive shot, deep, close to the line and traveling slow to give you more time to recover. The only thing it wont have is the "property" of powered slice that all TS games mess-up, that makes the other's guy shots weaker. Fine when on offense, alla BH cross short slice after you pushed the opponent far behind the baseline.
As I mentioned, SIM is a different tour meant to be different. So players used to certain things in regular tour will have to adjust a bit for SIM tour.
djarvik wrote:FH slices are not bannedthey are all allowed. What is not allowed is to abuse them. And what you describe, will make you abuse them. You selecting a shot before knowing what is coming......maybe the shot is coming right back to you? ....as in opponent trying to wrong foot you rather then send you running. What turns out is you standing on one place with fully charged FH slice and send it down the line for a winner
How does that look?
I strongly suggest that at least on defense you use control shots. It even makes sense if you thin about it.
