(your) the first 98 serve, 98 power I have played on ITST in 46 matches. And I get that your a newbie hot shot lol, but I am just in awe you think that set-up is fair or atleast legit. And Amoeba, GLAD to hear there will be a SIM tour. I will pick up playing on the site again likely if that happens.

TIM TEBOWNER 15 wrote:LOL is that really your best trash talk??? It was just amazing how cocky you got when you "crushed me" in our match. With you amazing tactics... 140+ serve everytime, then BOOM BOOM BOOM down the line if i could get a return back. But when I yawningly beat you 6-2 you had nothing to say excep, oh, was just trying a set-up is why I lost. I had no problems with any of the three you just mentioned although I haven't had to play djarvik somehow. But Mack smacked me like 4 and 1 I believe and I had no problem losing to him. But comeon man. Do you really believe your
FH - 81
BH - 61
SRV - 98
VOL - 40
POW - 98
STA - 77
SPE - 40!!!
REF - 50
is a set-up that proves that you are great and I am sh*t? I hope I am not the only one who thinks that this is BS??? Maybe I am, but serioiusly dude, just shutup with being cocky. I am a nobody on this site, my record isn't that good.

Honestly, i don't see any problem with that setup. I don't play with it, but personaly it's always a pleasure and a nice challenge, to try to find the solution/strategy against people who play specific characters like that.

So I really don't understand why people complain about setups, especially after a loose.

If you loose a game, it's not because the character in front of you is overpowered : it's because you weren't able to find the right solution to counter the problem he rises... And if you weren't able to find the solution, it can be : 1) because of your own setup which is weak against that one ; 2) your technique which is not good, anticipation etc ; 3) you're not in a good day etc etc... There's plenty of reasons.

So instead of creating useless topics like that : just go training, and find solutions against the guy's strategy to win next time !

ps : I remember a guy named "Tim Tebowner" on the beginning of the tour, who played with a character who scored aces and aces, who were very difficult to break because of his big serve ; and now he complains about that... how ironic life is

ps 2 : i don't have anything against you Tim, it's just that this kind of topics are pretty useless, and annoying... If i would be an admin, i would just lock every "setups complain topic", but off course i'm not :p

But now ppl want to make everything overpowered

I too play with a similar power setup but why people are complaining and considering it cheesy/unbeatable is beyond me. It's just as annoying when you see a person with a more balanced setup/IR/CPS running 20-25ft back and forth behind the baseline slapping their racket on the floor when reaching for your shot and a perfect slice/topspin 'passing shot' is executed onto your shoe laces?

DSL, Mount Cleverest, SportTechtonik all play awesome defensive gamestyles for example, but if this power setup is criticized from people who find it disgraceful/unbeatable, take their tips on how to beat a player with the aforementioned setup.

The only reason why this setup is coming under scrutiny is because there is a minority who adopt this gamestyle as opposed to others; the majority, who believe their setup is geared towards maximum realism.

I know I don't carry much weight being ranked 252 out of like 253 players, but there shouldn't be any controversy here, instead, accept all gamestyles and learn to overcome them. As it says engraved upon the entrance to the Centre Court in Wimbeldon: ''If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster; and treat those two impostors just the same.''

Apply this ethos to your ITST matches, win or lose, be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. That being said, if they dropshot on every point to hell with them all.

P.S: Apologies for the rant, I'm done posting for a while.

ITST philosophy is against any type of extreme setups and tactics. This is what separates us from WT and any other tours. The formula worked for many years. There were a number attempts to create an alternative tours with "everything goes" mentality but all have failed, for the core philosophy doesn't stand up.

It's not about a challenge to beat a setup, but a challenge to beat the person. Hiding behind games limitation is hardly a challenge to me and to majority of ITST.

I am not condeming anyone on this thread or declaring any setup "extreme", but making a general statement on the subject.

And yes, SIM is coming and will be a lot more restrictive. :P

there's no reason to get upset about 90+ power setup if we accept other 90+ stats in my opinion.

90+ wing or volley can be as deadly if not deadlier
