Honestly guys depending on who is controling Roddick,Nadal,Williams or Safina, either can be handled with a bit of strategy which for me makes it fun. I play 2kOpen A LOT and I use Jankovic and Rafter often and have a pretty good winning record. I like this idea. Maybe the hosts or ITST management can decide before the tournaments to designate a pro to each member...sort of like the draw is randomized, each ITST member can be assigned a specific pro to play throughout the tournament. Just an idea.

I'd like this to happen. Randomized select orders, or just randomized handing out the pros to the participants would be the most fun in the long run I think.

And/or if you win one tournament you have to pick a pro last for the next.

For me it would not differentiate that much to created players if you could use only the favourites. I would not learn different styles and tactics to the extent if I can use the players I like the most.

I believe it can be more interesting, but understand that it's of course not everyone's cup of weakly coloured, hot water.

You can still pick any player you like, you don't have to play with the so-called favourites. I'd probably play with Rafter, or maybe Wawrinka.

Of course. I'm not that effective at making a point in english I guess.
The competetive side usually take over and most people choose the players that suit them best/feels more comfortable over.
Randomizing the players adds a different aspect.

Yeah that's a great idea! I will always use andy Murray obviously as I'm a fan! I would rather play this pro players tour than the created characters one to be honest so I hope it can be done? How can we make it happen? Do we need to pass this thread onto a founder member? Or do we need a poll to see who is up for it?

But how would that work? What I imagine is something like this:
- I'm using Roddick
* Oh, then I'm going to take Djokovic
- Hm, in that case I'll take Federer
* Borg for me then
- Sampras here
* My Agassi will take him down!

Here is where you wrong. There are for more douchebags out there then any other breed


Honestly, I would like nothing more then that. But, complaint number 1 is that right now, 80% of 2K Open is Roddick.

Think about it. Yeah you guys are up for different characters, but lets be honest, most of the guys will seek out the best one (right now it is Roddick I think) and will use them.

So you would be playing all rounds in your tourney against Roddick. Maybe an occasional Fed. And then you will lose to Roddick at some point of the tournament. Fine.

Comes next week, you look up the draw. Who is there? Yes, Roddick. Looks the same, same stupid hat. You win that one. Finally see Tomb with Rafter (he got a bye into the next round somehow)....you beat him 0 and 0. Next round - Roddick, once again cursing at umpire and wearing that stupid hat to cover for his male pattern baldness. After 2 hours of hard fighting, you win and reach SF. Look up your opponent - Norberto. Who does he use? Roddick. You lose.

Next week comes. You hoping for at least a first round Roddick free.... but, no dice. Here comes the man. And he is a new member to ITST and rather good. You lose.

Next week, Wimbledon. Yey!! Finally some SV action. hmmm...NO! You get Roddick for the first 3 rounds, then run into Rob's Samprass (who just went thru 3 Roddicks himself) he destroys you and goes on to the QF to face Roddick. Ultimately beating Roddick in the final.

I think at this point you just about ready to give Roddick a shot. Once he was a bum, but now he grows on you, he feels like a natural choice.

You decide - enough, next week - I am using Roddick! ...and finally you reach you first final! Yes! Now you get a shot at Norberto and his Roiddick.

The two Roddicks fight hard.....but there is no taking away the title from Roddick. He takes it and goes on to parse his opponent, Roddick, at press conference. The two exchange smirks and go on to face more Roddicks out there.

Anyway, what I am trying to say, that even if we end up using similar setups with customs, it will be not nearly as similar as with the Pros. Pros will look alike, have same strokes, same 2H BH, same clothes etc...

Keep in mind that a good amount of Pros are SV and wont get used enough.
