Im seriously disappointed to see risk going, it is a good thing as it not being there kills a lot of cheesy tactics, but it definitely takes away from the game play for clean players.

@targon12

Are you responding to arguments? ...or just making "announcements". This is a discussion board man. We got your opinion, so either discuss or buzz off.

Surprise, surprise! The cheesers are speaking out against my post. I dont have to say their names as you can all see them for yourselves. They took it personally because my words rang true and must have cut them very deeply. They are the ones that get all "Butt Hurt" when someone makes a good point against their precious pastime. We just want a tennis game that rewards people for good tennis tactics , not for un-tennis-like 200mph shots. Of course Top Spin 4 might suck as most tennis video games have. You may not like what I have to say but I gotta always "Keep It Real". Sorry Top Spin 3 was not the most perfect tennis video game that could ever possibly be created. Get over it. It was good, but not great...

Let him show it then. In every TS game the risk shot was vital for ending a rally. If used as intended then there would be no problem. But a lot of guys became to good at the game making it hard for normal players to have fun online.

I have a feeling the ITST players might gonna miss the risk shot.

So are you saying we all are cheesers at TS3? Lets see because djarvik was a counter puncher, and really whatever style he wanted to play and I was a non risker so basically you think we all are cheesers and you are god, right?

All hail targon as he has found the flaws to online gaming

I'm not speaking out against you because I'm a cheeser. Because I never used risk shots. I'm speaking out against you because you're being an arrogant prick.

I think he is one of those losers that just hates the world, and when he cant be good at something he has to make up some excuse and then tell everyone why he cant win.

imo, using 100 FH BH Serve and power characters is just another way of being
a cheesy player.
i hate having to relay almost entirely on my serve and risk returns, but against those kind of players you don't have much choice. and you can also be cheesy using only the left trigger.

but as some have pointed out, risk abusing requires greater timing, so if somebody was good at it in TS3, he'll probably still be painting the lines in TS4 with regular strokes.

@O.P: Get a grip. Seriously. You seem unhealthy 'upstairs'.

You seem inordinately angry about something...a video game should never inspire this much anger

I'd say stop, so you can maybe save some face, but I'm pretty sure 100% of us agree that you're a douchebag so maybe you should just keep ranting for an eternity. It will at least provide some entertainment

There's no 'risk shots' per se in TS4, but I bet all the risk masters from TS3 will still take turns raping you in TS4  The guys who are good (really good, not what you think is 'good') at TS games are high ranked because they, on some level, out think and out-play their opponents on a regular basis.

You obviously have made attempts to get good at TS game but have discovered you lack the timing to really be a good player. SOOO, you devise this crazy theory where people who use risk shots are just CHEATING and are IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT...sooo when YOU lose, you can pat yourself on the back and say "I didn't really lose I Just played a 'cheeser!".

I know you better than you know yourself boy!! Hahaha!

I risked in Top Spin 3. I mainly did it on returns. I agree the service was dominant in TS3. To me you either had to be a good top spinner or risker to get a chance at a break. (im talking about the average player, not you robots lol)

However im glad the risks are not in this game. The Serve and return seems more balanced in this game which is nice, also the character moves more fluid so even if your pulled out you can get back to the ball often.

I will say when people serve hard with Roddick I cannot even see the ball it seems so fast. I do think this game is going to reward the counter puncher though.

In the end we all had things that bugged us in TS3 but I think its safe to say it is unfair to call someone a cheeser or cheater for using a shot that was put in the game.
