You know which Character interest me at most right now when I think about which Style to use?

It's Pistol Pete Sampras. Can't wait to test his enorm Serve and Volleyskillz.

Maybe I'll get a Serve and volley Player in TS4. I like to play this way but never really had the Possibility in earlier Tennisgames.

Can sombody answer my Question please.

Do find the RB run to the Net Button effectiv? Does it really makes you faster forwards and backwards?

Yes it works, same way it worked for ts3, if you hold the button and hit a slice, the player rushes the net and the slice is quite agressive, it works well for s&v as well

I am addicted already

Still yet to win a match on hard mode (have played 5 so far), but it's really good fun.

can you use RB and then back to the middle of the court like in TS3? Cause I always found that cheap

Okay first impressions:

(And I'm going to try to refrain from the negative points just because I know this is just a demo and perhaps the game will be better with the whole game once explained through tennis school/academy)

so here goes:

1. I absolutely LOVE the inside out option. Finally! I can do an inside out forehand that I actually positioned myself for.
2. The animations are great. You can actually tell the difference if someone gets wrong footed. Footwork is def. going to be a factor. (Although I find myself hitting LB even though it serves no purpose. Might take a little getting use to)
3. With no risk, I can absolutely feel which wing my opponent is weak on. Especially with federer with whom has a glaring difference.
4. Love the skill set for each players. I think it's a great idea and I for one am eager to learn "fatality"

I will mention however how off federer's service motion is. I mean I could understand getting james blake's service motion wrong but Roger Federer? Come on! Idk maybe its just the demo portion, who knows..

But so far it looks good. I'm having fun with it. I'm excited to learn how to volley, serve, and return all over again. It's like learning how to play tennis for the first time!!

I'm ready for the game already sheesh

Hm understand so I have to press this Button while charging my Slice or another Hit and then he runs to the Net. I guess it works with other shots besides the slice too or?

Yep you can use it with any shot

Ok, this was interesting. Played a bit (download went pretty smooth for me by the way) and i must say i am impressed.

Its pick up and play for sure. I havent played a Top Spin version in ages but i was having fun instantly. Just serving is tricky for me. Ill need to play a lot more to master that again.

What i found most impressing though was the huge difference between playing with Federer and Nadal. In my matches with Roger i was way more offensive then with Nadal. And it happens automatically. It makes sense somehow.

Minor issue is that the demo is way to easy for me or any other experienced Top Spin player and a tiebreak is a bit short to fully test the new stamina system. So i cant really get a good feel for the depth of the game.

The number of errors is to low at the moment. Perhaps they will increase at a higher difficulty setting or in a player vs player match though? I can see that happening as you would be wrong footed a lot more.

Even when I'm trying to hit an unforced error, i still hit a relatively good ball. Is it just because the cpu, even on hard mode, doesn't hit his own shots well enough so you're never out of your comfort zone? I'm hitting full power shots in even when they are "too late" or whatever.

Actually, the gameplay reminds me a lot of Smash Court Tennis 3

This is what i am thinking yes. Try positioning yourself badly (like running to the ball too late) and you will hit a lot of unforced errors. So positioning wise things are good. But the AI of the demo rarely puts you in that position. I could see an experienced player doing that a lot more often though.

Timing wise the window is way to big. It is either the difficulty setting or they enlarged the window for the demo to appeal to a bigger crowd. Or thats how the game will work. Id be a bit dissapointed with that last option.

This game has been made for me! On Hard, i thrashed Serena with Goddess Ana :P
Also, i noticed that Pre charging is not as usefull as before, cause it seems to slow you down when you need to move...
I can't wait to play at harder level!

In Ronnie's other thread he said it was a bit easier so that newcomers would be able to play better. The difficulty will get harder when it's released.
