Career with "Real Tennis"

Postby bluwaters » Wed, 16 Mar 2011 21:36

So i just wanted to see how many of you guys out there selected the "Real Tennis" option for the career to give you a FULL SET of 6 games instead of the 3 setter.

I chose it... i know it will be a bit longer. I am really glad they brought that option to the game. :)

I may do it eventually on expert or something, but for now it's just 10 point tie-breakers for me.

haha, I put it on the first one, can't remember the name, and played on very easy. I wanted that lvl 20 character so fast so I could go online in the morning, today, and start playing. Plus now I can create other styles I want easily.
Career mode isn't bad, but my main focus was WT, so I made it as easy/short as possible.

i am doing it, im in day 2 and im on level 16, but so far ive only done the preparations and the minor tournaments (no slams unlocked yet) and its always 1 set tb's, outside of sparring partners. is it the slams that have the option to play 6 games a set?

I can't stop playing with the pros. Started my career. Played one idiot, then quit - back to the pros. I may never have a created character. 8)

Not anymore. In my eyes, the on-court animations are that good, so fluid, you actually feel as if you're playing with the pro. Hard to stop. :P

Alright, I'll get around to creating a character soon, just don't have as much patience as I used to. :stupd

hehehe i agree with ya Cro.

But i find i am getting my pro up to level 20 really quickly. It's a lot faster than creating one in TS3. I would think the more events I play with him the faster it goes climbs up to the 20, but that isn't the case... i have only played 2 tournaments... and in the Semi's of the 3rd and i am already at 11.

I think what happens is... because we are able to get points for everything.. including online play helps every bit.. including the sparring matches.

OMG I die of boredom in my Offline Career already because I choosed normal Difficulty and the Top Spin Mode to come trough so soon as possible. But that's not the Developers fault because you can play the Career on very hard and in real Tennis Mode if you like.

I am at Level 13 now and look forward to the fast Player Building Option.

I played two Onlinematches with the Pros yesterday and yeah that's what this Game is all about. No matter how good a Top Spin Careermode ever will be it's nothing against a good Game with humans. In this Mode the Game is unbeatable good. I love it.

Looking forward to the Wolrd Tour too but I decided to train my first Character fully offline.

I agree, that it looks like online mode will be where it's at because playing against a human is much better. Having said that, I started a real tennis career and so far have mixed feelings. I love it and at the same time am scared about how long it will take. last night a match went three sets 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 I won. At the end, I was pretty pumped about how real it all felt. But then realized it took 65 minutes to play one match.

I guess my point is the real tennis mode is great but totally understand people not wanting to do it because it will take FOREVER.
