D-Pad not working for movement and shot aiming in PS3?

I can only use the analog stick which I dont really like as I am used to d-pad from TS3.
I read somewhere that d-pad is not supported for TS4 on Ps3. Is it true?
I tried searching this forum, it seems many have used the d-pad (but many dont seem to like it)

log your ps3 to internet so you get the ts4 updates and d-pad should work.
