It's not excactly without thinking, it's a kind of focus on the game that allows you to make the right choice at the right time. Just clear your head and focus on the game, every iritation or whatever is wrong. Your head has to be clear and focussed on the match. Visualise Federer or Nadal as an example, they do it like that to.

The top players have mastered their players skill, they have go-to strategies, a plan B, they have mastered praticular shots to sway rallies in their favor, most play great defense and are able to switch to offense in an instant. Finally, they finish points at the exact moment when the time is ideal.

Nah most top players adjust to the situation accordingly there's really no set strategy or plan b it's just doin what's best to win the point
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm :P

I just figured out what separates top players from the rest. I was leading 1-0 in a world tour quick match and had 3 break points in the 2nd game. I hit two PERFECT returns out and one GOOD baseline hit out and lost the game because freaked out and threw my Xbox out of the window after that!

Well, maybe the last part was a bit exaggerated I only did that last part in my mind and imagined choking the hell out of the top spin developers while I gradually lost the match (I won the previous one easily 3/0 against him breaking his serve twice).

So the lesson here was that top players don't get rattled no matter what the game throws against you.
