R1 works with volley?

Postby Capriatifan » Wed, 06 Apr 2011 14:19

Does anyone know if the R1 button works at the net? I've tried with and without and it's doesn't seem to work but I'm not sure. Does it make repositioning (left/right) faster? Also after some volleys my player doesn't move at all...it's not like the splitstep service terurn glitch where it's just slow..in this case the palyer is just jammed...anyone alse noticed this?

it can be from low reflexes, try players with higher reflexes.

You get frozen for a split second if you miss-time the volley, just like all other shots. Maybe that's what you're experiencing.

In general, I think they should have separate the the lateral reposition and going to the net button instead of jamming it in the R1 button. Is L1 use for anything? can't remember right now. Like in TS3, have L1 as lateral repostioning and R1 for approaching the net. I am sure many of you already notice this but whenever you use R1 of lateral repositioning, your character will run forward after hitting the ball. Therefore, you have to pull back on the analog stick to keep your character at the baseline which will cost you a little time getting back to neutral position. Anyway, I manage to get my character around the court ok, but just think that it was a poor design.

I think there should not be ANY repositioning buttons.

There should be only one - charge to the net.

Repositioning buttons help to hide poor movement and anticipation. Especially so in TS3. These were the "magic" buttons.

I am glad they got writ of one of them, now if only the can get writ of the other - would be rather perfect. :P
