One thing that worries me just a little is that the matches in career mode seem very short (one set super tie break). In all videos and screens of career mode when the player is choosing what tournament to play you can see what rules will be used and all I've seen is the one set super tie break (exept in AO where it looks like the standard from TS3 with 3 games 3 sets and super tie break).

I hope that we'll be able to change this.

That's the next Thing I have no Problem with. I mean I understand you and wish you the Settingpossibilities. I have nothing against to gather Experience in the Careermode, explore it and creating my Player calm but I don't want to waste more time offline than necessary. For me Top Spin is still more a Communitygame than a Singeplayergame even if it combines both and this Year probably better than ever.

Well I guess that's a matter of taste. I play alot of online aswell but I do enjoy a good offline career mode just as much. And I know alot more people like this too and don't consider it a waste of time.

I usually create two players (but don't know if it's needed in TS4), one for offline play and one for online.

Yes I understand you. Everybody how he wants, but I have more fun to compete with humans than playing against a CPU.

You pick smartly what you want to play and what you want to skip....just like real life. It worked beautifully in the Smash Court series as well at WTA Tennis.

Or maybe for the next installment they can do something similar to recent WWE game,in that they have both a 'career' mode as well as a seperate "world tour/story" mode. The former being a means to build up created characters through challenges etc, while the latter being a full on sim of an actual tennis tour.

The problem is that if you have to complete a career to have a fully built character, you typically have to play almost all of the events in order to fully build the character. You don't have a choice.

I can understand your point of view if a long season weren't required in order to build a player. Otherwise, I don't think the career should be very long.
