Lonamer is undoubtedly the favorite, but there are many players who have great aspirations to win the crown of the English garden, I think Captainpetrufo for having reached the final of GR is a potential candidate, behind them come more in the fight for Grand Slam MS, there are many interesting encounters with big names in the preliminary rounds, especially after the quarterfinals. I hope it will be a great tournament and good luck to all!!

I found that out yesterday on grass. Even though it was mss and a warmup tournament yet still a final. I've never been bageled Lonamer was just too good but he doesn't blow u off the court he dissects and breaks u down. Hopefully it will be different if its MS. I really don't like mss...

ok, I will say it otherwise, if you do not like MSS you do not seek to simulate real tennis, u only want to play a video game, better now?

coke4 defeats matt4u2nv 7-6(5) 7-6(5) 7-6(6)

Very tight match, i felt a bit rusty all round and it took mental strength to win this, especially as matt never gave up and kept in the match the whole time

1st set through the whole set we both held without facing any break points but matt was the better player. However when the tie break came i upped my game and he couldnt get a read on my serve as i constantly sent it the opposite place to where he thought it was going, he hung in until 5-6 on his serve, having him where i wanted him i read his serve, stepped out and blasted a crosscourt return which he didnt get back into play to give me the set.

2nd set He starts out better and gets two break points early on in the same game, however i manage to hold and then at 3-4 on his serve i get a b/p but he saves it, then at 4-5 i get a break/set point but he manages to save it again. My memory of the TB is a bit hazy, i think i got a mini break half way through it and took it at 6-5 on my serve with a slice down the T service ace.

3rd set I start out dominating and i expect him to give up and for me o take the third set easily, he doesnt and towards the end of the set he gets the upper hand. He continues to fight in the third fighting hard to prevent any mini breaks however i was still taking my service points with ease as was the situation in the other two breakers. At 5-6 i manage to get a good return in and got in control of the point, it being match point i expected him to succomb to my deep and hard shots but he doesnt and he wins the point, however at 6-6 i get a top spin return in deep and he nets the ball and i take my chance and win the match.

Stats

Uhm no...
Hate to break up the group think around here, but TS3 is a video game no matter how you 'limit' the stats.

If anything MS evens out the playing field more than mss by thwarting the least realistic part of TS3, the high risk system, by allowing for more powerful characters individually suited to each player.

Mss maybe slower paced but it allows players who use the, the unrealistic (IMO), high risk system a lot (like you Maximo!!!) to have a greater advantage.

Hitting multiple return winners off a 120+ MPH serve only happens in video games FYI!

Perhaps but the "unrealistic " risk option as u call it , is not as overbearing on SIM as it is on MS , and with the more realistic speed options, it is easier to deal with

OMG

DRII, I risk 90% of the time. How many return winners did I hit against you in our recent match? None.

Risk is THE ONLY realistic part in TS3.

There is nothing real about 0 unforced errors. Or forced for that matter.

When you don't risk, errors of any kind are non-existent, that is as anti-tennis as it could only be. Tennis is an "error game".

Out of 100 points won, a good strong winner hitter like Soderling will only get 20-30 winners. Rest will come from errors, forced and unforced.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...
